removing the border update on images:
you'll need to use the stylus extension (chrome, firefox, opera, github), on mobile you can use this extension on firefox (extensions are not available on ios afaik)
create a style:
set it to work on all sites under the tumblr domain:
copy paste this code:
.GzjsW .CQmeg.lN9Zs.T94I2 > button:after, .GzjsW .CQmeg.lN9Zs.T94I2 > div > button:after, .GzjsW .CQmeg.lN9Zs.T94I2 > figure > div:after { border: none;}
that should be it, now transparent images should no longer have the ugly border.
however, please note that:
this does not remove the rounded border from solid images
this does not remove the color of the post background changing on hover.
this may stop working if tumblr changes things in the future. please don't send me abusive messages about it.
very quick edit:
i figured out how to stop the hovering change in bg color
add this to the same style:
:root { --content-tint: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)!important; --content-tint-strong: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)!important; --content-tint-heavy: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)!important;}
remove the separator reblogs / likes thing
this is not going to remove the functionality of this weird feature, but it will remove the ugliness that comes with it, as you'll see in the screenshots provided below .
to make the required changes, you will need to get the stylus extension that you can grab at the following links : chrome , firefox , opera , github .
firstly, you must write a new style by clicking on the plus sign . name it tumblr or something similar, just so you know what it's for . then, change the code 1 dropdown to urls on the domain - in the box type : tumblr.com .
copy & paste the following code into the big box below & then click on save next to the beautify button on the left-hand side .
._Krz6 { display: none!important; }
once you've done that, refresh your tumblr & you should see that the weird separators are now gone .
if anything changes & i need to make an update or help you out in some other way, send an ask to let me know !
⋆˙ ⟡ You don't need to be "active" every day to belong here. Your presence is enough, even in the quiet moments when you're thinking about your muse, or re-reading old threads just because they made you smile. You bring something irreplaceable to this space simply by existing in it. If you ever feel guilty for disappearing for a while, don't. We'll still be here, waving happily when you pop back in.
platonic ships are just as valid as romantic ships.
✿‧̥ your original character is important ! so much love and effort goes into crafting a character of your own creation. original characters are just as important as canon characters , don't let anyone convince you other wise. your original characters bring so much value and are wanted and loved here. please never stop writing them, never stop talking about them. don't let anyone discourage you from having an original character. thank you for sharing your character with us, thank you for allowing us to interact and write with them !
Dear roleplayers,
You're not public figures. You're not celebrities. You are just people who are having fun with your hobby. It is COMPLETELY fine if you're feeling burnt out.
It is FINE if you don't feel like posting. It is FINE if you want to curate your own space and be selective. You're within your full right to.
Anyone saying otherwise and being parasocial's just fuckin' weird.
i am holding all of your hands when i say this. let's collectively reframe "sorry it's taken so long / sorry i haven't been able to write much / etc" to "thank you for your patience or thanks for always being excited with me, even if i take a while or thanks for understanding that life gets busy!" or just... allowing yourself to enjoy writing without any time limits applied or need to explain yourself or ask for forgiveness.
i promise, you're worth the wait of writing with, you're worth the patience, and you're worth the consideration. this is a hobby! it's supposed to be fun, not something we feel obligated or chained to.
so don't apologize for taking too long, it's not too long and anyone who rushes or guilts someone else for responses should probably resort their own priorities. also i love you and i hope today is kind to you.
