#legendary bladers

One thing that never makes sense to me in Metal Fury is that, after the first two or three episodes, Gingka and the rest of the group don't ask potential legendary bladers if they were hit by the star fragment or if they remember anything significant. This is puzzling because most of them actually remember the moment the star fragment entered their Beyblade. For example, Yuki was hit and mentioned it in episode 103 when he met Gingka for the first time. Throughout the season, characters such as Tsubasa, Kenta, and Masamune wished to become legendary bladers. While I understand this, it’s odd that they don’t try to recall whether they witnessed an asteroid piece crashing into their Beyblades. This is especially important for Masamune, who genuinely believed he would become a legendary blader.

I like how Metal Fury takes the Chosen One trope and shows us several different scenarios with the trope.

Like, there's Gingka, who's set on doing what he has to do. Then, we have Kyoya who wants to focus on a smaller issue — defeating Gingka. Then, there's Dynamis who's dedicated his whole life to the prophecy, and Yuki who doesn't want the world to end.

On the other hand, we also have King who just wants to use his newfound power to do something he couldn't before — battling. There's also Aguma for whom Beylin Fist takes priority over his role as a Legendary Blader, and Chris who doesn't really understand what's going on. And then, there's Tithi who is only fighting because of his friend — I mean, he agrees to join Kyoya only if Yuu is coming along as well.

Of course, we also have Ryuuga who just wants to take everyone's power and become the strongest of all.

"Chosen One" is a pretty common trope but giving nine different reactions by different Chosen Ones was a nice decision.

Today are 8 years since the end of Beyblade Metal Fury!

This wonderful show played an important role in my childhood and it will always have a special place in my heart!
