“Harrison!” Kara screeched when her fiance opened the door. “HI!”She rushed over to greet him with a hug. “Guess what Krypto did today!!”She let go of him after a good fifteen seconds and grabbed his hand, leading him to their bunny son’s little house.  “Look inside.” She pointed into the small house where the bunny was asleep at the moment with his stuffed bunny named Hopps. “Look what else is in there with them.” It was one of Kara’s scarves that she rarely wore and one of Harry’s tshirts that he’d been looking for. “I think he missed us while we were gone.” She spoke softly as to not wake up the fur baby. “He either wanted to feel close to us or he’s building a nest inside of his house and those just happen to be the two things he got a hold of.” It was so cute, though! Her little baby was so smart and loving and gosh, she REALLY wanted to pick him up and cuddle him right now but she wasn’t going to interrupt his nap time.

His heart stopped, stomach churned, body ached when Ray said that. He knew how much Ray hurt, from his dropped eyes, tense stance, clenched fist. God, he hated how he did that to Ray, hated that he made Ray feel that way, so terrifying, like a monster. But he couldn’t handle this, couldn’t deal with it. 

He was weak.

“I’m trying.” Nate responded finally, looking down, trying not to show how terrified he was deep down. 

Things like Neron didn’t leave you.

“I’m so sorry. I just...need time. I....I lost you. It takes a bit to get that sort of thing shaken away from me.”
