Chilling Heights - [ Red & Steven ]
What on earth possessed him to even attempt to climb Mount Silver?
In retrospect, it was a horrible idea. Regardless of how wonderful and rich the minerals were here, it was still colder than what he was willing to handle. Shuffling on the outer area of the mountain, having already climbed a great deal, Steven Stone actually considered, for a moment, to give up and get off the place.
However, that was soon erased by his will to continue, to drive forward and find something before going home, regardless of how raw he felt and how much he wished he was at Mossdeep rather than climbing the behemoth of a mountain. It wasn't that bad, there was a cave up ahead.
He just had to keep climbing to reach that ledge. Most people would use Pokémon to do it, but Steven was much too used to doing it by himself. Enough that he didn't consider the possibility in his current freezing state that he could have just asked Titanium for a lift.
Shaking and freezing, as well as feeling damp from the snow, he finally made it over the ledge, sitting in front of the cave's mouth while gathering his breath. Just a bit more effort and he could just walk into the much warmer environment and relax slightly before moving forward. He'd start his hunt for rare stones then, having already explored the majority of the bottom area of the caverns.
Ah, he supposed he deserved this. The man had gone without sleep for a few days, thinking the climb up wouldn't have been too hard.
He shouldn't have assumed.
He would have done better if he was in prime condition, rather than deprived of rest. Shaking his head in a self-berating manner, Steven slowly stood, legs quivering slightly, and stumbled into the cave. Once inside, he moved left, then leaned against the cavern's wall, slowly sliding down to a sitting position. He was too close to the entrance to truly rest...
It'd be best if he moved further inwards before considering it, it was too cold outside.
Standing once more proved to be a chore, but he managed, using the wall for support. Now came the walking part.
"Oh boy..." He rasped softly, then shook his head before, slowly, moving further into the cave. "What a day." There didn't seem to be anyone here, as far as he could see. It was said that the area was horribly harsh, and whoever said that was absolutely correct.
Maybe now would be a good idea to use one of his Pokémon for transport.
