It may sound weird, but why is it that while all the daisies are skinny from hunger and a difficult life in the forest, Petrel and Egret look like normal beach cats, even though they are the same daisies and they live in the same conditions? They don't seem to be suffering from malnutrition

Some Daisys are better at hunting than others, not all of them are as equally starved. Food is scarce, but some will have better luck or skill than others.
They are also both tied to Sturgeon, who has access to good hunting grounds. She can hunt more than her share under the guise of "oh it's for another family cat." and no one would investigate further.
She also personally trained Egret and keeps him informed on where the best places to hunt are. There is no world where she would let Egret go a day without a meal.
