In some way she held some form of “pity” (as they liked to put it) towards organics. Although capable of forming their own bonds they could never achieve complete unity like the Geth. Learning more about the Geth hivemind was as interesting as discovering new information about organics.

Legion was no different. A part of her even “missed” her equal after the disbandment shortly after the destroying the Collector base. 

“Hello Legion,” the AI offered a polite greeting, continuing to run diagnostics on the ship’s maintenance. “It is good to see you back on board - even if it is for a temporary visit.”

shepard smiled widely. she couldn’t see herself, but she imagined the grin was almost akin to one of mordin’s. she might not have completely understood the stuttering sounds legion made, but she knew it meant they were PROCESSING. it wasn’t a negative reaction, and the expression of gratitude only went to show they were accepting shepard’s affection in their own way.
