ErP legislation changes
New ErP regulation comes into effect on 26th September 2015, its aim is to reduce carbon emissions and increase product efficiency which in turn saves customers money. The legislation is applicable to all space heating products with a rated output of less than 400kW. As an installer, you will only be able to buy and install ErP compliant products and that’s why we’ve introduced new ranges of ErP boilers and metal consumer units. Watch the video below from Ariston to learn more about ErP regulation.

Consumer units
Due to the number of consumer unit fires reported within domestic premises, Regulation 421.1.201 (UK only) has been added and requires consumer units and similar switchgear to have their enclosure manufactured from non-combustible material or be enclosed in a cabinet or enclosure constructed of non-combustible material. This regulation will be fully implemented on the 1st January 2016.
To comply with the above, TradePoint has introduced 18 new consumer units from MK, BG, LAP and Wylex, which will all be metal cased consumer units.
