Does anyone have any suggestions for credible sources about Chinese history? It’s a subject I have absolutely no understanding of, so I’m at a loss on where to start. Or what’s real. Or what’s propaganda.

I’m sure I could attempt a Wikipedia dive but that also puts me in line for a potential Wikipedia spiral (you know, where you start looking into one thing then end up consumed by side articles until you aren’t even on your original subject anymore.)

Help a dumb whitey out who wants to learn actual facts about a different country without USA poisoning! I personally prefer book reading but I’m down for video essays and stuff like that. Or if there’s online courses I’d be willing to tune into those too.

Supernatural fandom, I need help: I've never seen the show and I want to get into it. What episode other than the first one should I watch to get hooked? Every show gets better as it gets older so I'm afraid I'll watch the first episode and not like it and then not get into it.
