20240714: the History of LEGO Castle day 196. Kingdoms minifigures

Kingdoms had a bit of mix-and-match with the yellow minifigure heads and torsos, but not much for unique legs. (This break down will ONLY include instances of these minifigure parts from LEGO Castle sets, not other LEGO themes). -The royal king torso was found in 7946 and 7952. -The royal king legs were found in 7946, 7952, and 10223. -The dark bluish gray scale mail with red arms was found in 5929, 7187, 7946, 7947, 7948, 7949, 7952, 852921, and 853373. -The red and white checker pattern with the lion head was found in 7187, 7188, 7946, 7948, 7950, 7952, 9349, 10223, 30062, 852921, 853373, 5002147, and LILLE. -The dragon knight torso and legs were both found in 6918, 7187, 7946, 7950, 7952, 10223, 852922, and 853373. -The dark green chain mail torso was found in 7187, 7188, 7189, 7946, 7947, 852922, and 853373. -The medium and dark green checker pattern with black arms was found in 7188, 7189, 7946, 7947, 7948, 7949, 30061, 852922, and 853373. -The light bluish gray lion knight was found in 7947, 7949, 10223, and 852921. -The light bluish gray lion knight legs were found in 7947, 7949, 10223, 852921, HOUSTON-3, SUNRISE-1, and WAUWATA-1.

I’ve been working on a new project lately! A fantasy world of my own creation, inspired by the countless others out there. It does include some LEGO themes as most of my creations do. (Ninjago not included, there’s a whole other bag of incomplete projects there I’m working on 😂)

But anyways, here’s the map I made of it! The world is called Ashlar, taken from the Clutch Powers movie way back when. I’m still working on all the lore, but I wanted to share what I’ve done so far! Some things may be difficult to read, so let me know if you need clarification for anything! And tell me which themes you recognize!

Hopefully I can get the general overview of the lore done soon! Then back to Ninjago and Horizon stuff (hopefully)

20240711: the History of LEGO Castle day 193. 10223 Kingdoms Joust (2012, 1575 pieces, 157 different parts) Kingdoms Joust is a jousting tournament set based in the red and white of the lion kingdom. A light bluish gray castle entrance with two towers on either side of a large entryway with red sloped roofs sits behind a reddish brown stand with a red and white roof with the reddish brown jousting fence build on green plates separating the red and white lion knight from the black silver and black falcon knight. One side of the entryway tower has a small reddish brown stand while the other has a sand blue and reddish brown small building on the second floor. Armor stands for the black knight is mostly dark green with black highlights and the lion knight stand is mostly red with white highlights. There are nine minifigures in this set. 20240710: the History of LEGO Castle day 192. 7189 Mill Village Raid (2011, 666 pieces, 169 different parts) Mill Village Raid is a farm scene, consisting of a reddish brown barn with dark bluish gray highlights with a brick-built tan roof on two bright light green 8x16 plates and a small dark tan, reddish brown, white, and light bluish gray windmill build on a dark bluish gray plate. The set includes a variety of farm animals, as well as a light bluish gray horse with dark bluish gray spots pulling a reddish brown wagon with reddish brown wagon wheels. The set has six minifigures. Mill Village Raid is a set that lives in infamy, as it introduced the LEGO community to The Goat. You can read about the story on Brick Fanatics. 20240709: the History of LEGO Castle day 191. 7188 King's Carriage Ambush (2011, 286 pieces, 101 different parts) King's Carriage Ambush is a large red and white carriage with reddish brown and pearl gold highlights and pearl gold wheels. The carriage itself is pulled by two white horses with printed decorative red and brown harnesses. Also included in this set are two reddish brown and dark brown brick-built trees, one with a dark bluish gray spider web and a black spider and the other with a large reddish brown and dark bluish gray brick-built hammer. There are four minifigures in this set. -The Lion King has a chrome gold crown, a yellow minifigure head with full white beard, a white dual-sided torso with red arms and a rest chest piece with a chain necklace holding a cross, and red legs with a printed lion head on one leg and a black belt with printed gold fleur de lis. -A lion soldier has a metallic silver pike helmet, a yellow dual-sided minifigure head with black chin and cheek lines and brown eyebrows with a scared print on one side and a neutral line on the other, a red dual-sided torso with a gold lion head on a white and red checker pattern with light bluish gray arms and yellow hands, and light bluish gray legs with a black belt. -A dragon soldier with a pearl titanium axe helmet, a yellow minifigure head with brown beard stubble and a closed teeth grimace, a dark bluish gray dual-sided torso with dark green arms and yellow hands and a flat silver scale mail print with a copper cross-torso chain, and plain black legs. -A dragon soldier with a pearl titanium pike helmet, a yellow minifigure head with black stubble sideburns and a toothy grin with one gold tooth, a dark green dual-sided torso with black arms and yellow hands and a copper dragon head on a medium green and dark green checker background, and plain black legs. Rare and unique parts for this set include: -The white horse with black eyes, dark brown bridle and reddish brown harness with gold tassels is unique to this set. -The metallic gold horse battle helmet was only found in two sets, 7949 King's Castle and 7188 King's Carriage Ambush. -Both the pearl gold 43mm wagon wheels and the pearl gold 56mm wagon wheels were only found in two sets, 7188 King's Carriage Ambush and 75958 Beauxbatons' Carriage: Arrival at Hogwarts. -The pearl light gray unicorn horn is only found in three sets, 7946 King's Castle, 7188 King's Carriage Ambush, and 7984 Deep Sea Raider. 20240707: the History of LEGO Castle day 189. 6918 Blacksmith Attack (2011, 110 pieces, 57 different parts) Blacksmith Attack is a small blacksmith shop with a black open forge, a weapons rack with a variety of dark bluish gray small weapons on a reddish brown stand, and a structure with a tan 4x8 plate roof held up by two light bluish gray and reddish brown walls. The two minifigures in this set include: -A blacksmith with a black hood, a yellow dual-sided minifigure head with bushy dark brown eyebrows, mustache, beard, and sideburns, a light bluish gray dual-sided torso with a printed brown apron and light bluish gray arms with black hands, and reddish brown legs with a reddish brown belt and a printed apron. -A dragon knight with a dark green plume in a pearl titanium eye-slit knight helmet, a yellow minifigure head with a frown and cheek and chin mark, a black dual-printed torso with pearl titanium scale mail and copper cross-chains with black arms and hands, and black legs with pearl titanium scale mail and knee pads. This set has several rare and unique parts. -The dark brown six blade rotator technic plate, the blacksmith head, the blacksmith torso, and the blacksmith legs are all unique to this set. -This is the first use of a chicken and the 1x1x1 bucket, with the dark tan chicken and the reddish brown bucket handle only found in two sets, 6918 Blacksmith Attack and 7189 Mill Village Raid. -This is the first use of the dark bluish gray minifigure seven weapon pack with a bow, two sceptors, a two-sided axe, a short sword, and two knives. This weapon pack appears in seven sets, 3858 Heroica - Waldurk, 3859 Heroica - Nathuz, 3860 Heroica - Fortaan, 3874 Heroica - Ilrion, 6918 Blacksmith Attack, and 9473 the Mines of Moria.
