Sorting has its perks. Yesterday I found these old friends. 😁
20220606: this is my first very major Lego purchase ever! someone decided to move across the country to be closer to their family and decided to sell all their childhood Legos. all the sets in the boxes on the top two shelves are probably 98% complete. the far left hand box on the third shelf down contains more boxes for castle and pirate sets, the far right hand box on the third shelf down containers more empty boxes for space sets, the three white boxes in the middle on the third shelf down and the three boxes on the right hand side of the bottom shelf all contain empty Lego city boxes. the rest? all those boxes and containers on the bottom right hand part of the shelf? that’s all bulk, the bulk from the empty boxes. which means there will be a lot of sorting and organizing and inventorying to find the missing sets. what a fantastic find and a great haul!
There are two types of people: those who sort their Lego by color, and those who sort by function/shape.
And you "color" people - how can you find anything? What if you need that small slanty piece and you have to sort through your entire reds bucket to find it? I just don't get it...
20220102: the last weekend of November 2021, I picked up my first bulk Legos that I purchased for me (or for my store). This is the final result of over a month of sorting. There was a lot of good bricks but also six one-gallon bags of non-Lego, which I will donate to a local disadvantaged youth shelter. It was a lot of work, but very satisfying. Now, to put the easy stuff away and further sort the bags of more special parts :-)

How Do I Make Lego Sorting Fun?
In today's Lego video let's talk about the potential fun or boring task, in sorting all your extra and miscellaneous Lego pieces.
Down with the flu for the first time in a long time. Spent the time productively and organised my childhood lego into colours with my sister. We are making train sets that we had as kids. Day 3 tommrow as all the pieces are ready and organized.
I finally received my parts order from the Lego factory in Denmark. I'm actually very excited to start work on a project I'm going to call "Suffer." :)
