and then you wanted things to go back to the way they were. i told you things change, people change, we change. your answer to that was that i could still be the old me but a better version of it. how is that change? becoming someone i already was and disliked? but what we’re here for; our job, is to collect mangled pieces of ourselves and put them back together, somehow. we put back our broken pieces together and we stare at the piece of art before us. and we accept its visible cracks and scars. ‘you’re not traveling back in time.’ that’s what you said. 'it’s change.’
