"#RealTalk: Safe Space / Best Practice" is a free dialogue event happening this Saturday 13 May at the old #Ōtāhuhu Library space, 12-16 High Street, Ōtāhuhu. The event foregrounds the discussion of cultural safety in the arts and cultural sector in New Zealand, unpacking community engagement, power sharing and the pitfalls of tokenism, social experiment type programming and integrating genuine diversification practices into business as usual. Hear insights from #LeilaniKake (artist, educator), Kolokesa Māhina-Tuai (curator, #PacificArt advocate) and the formidable #TanuGago, award winning photographer, producer, queer activist and creative director of @fafswag. This event has been instigated by @abiographyoftransition for @artspacenz, produced with support from OMYG and @limeespressobar - all welcome, family friendly, doors open at 2pm! 📸 made in collaboration with @vkumaran (at Otahuhu)
