carter paused for a second, focusing on the ceiling in order to compose himself before he pushed his body off the bed. his eyes scanned the room until he found a shirt to throw on over his head and then turned his attention back to the girl, fixing his hair in the process. “i’m going to get some water. you want anything ?”
