I have this new life dream where Leila, Sam, and I somehow all end up living together and becoming adorable bffs and being really supportive of one another and hello can we please be cute.
Hazel, Lee, Nance.
They released her! She's doing really well. She visited with Cora for a few hours, which is good because much as she claims not to be, she's a pretty social person. I'm sure she can/already has told all/some of you guys this, but I wanted to make sure I made everything clear and whatnot because my darling sister is notoriously vague in all situations.
Come visit anytime now, we're pretty open schedule wise, so if you want to stop by and hang out with her, just give a heads up and pop in. Lee, I'll make sure she gets your letter as soon as it arrives, and Nancy, if you've already set yours.
Anyways, all's going well, and we'll keep an eye on her to make sure she continues to be happy and healthy. Thanks for being there, it means a lot to her.
For Hazel and Lee, because you're closest to her and should get the full details now.
Palo's been asking mama and her doctor to take her off her depression medication for a few months now, but she hadn't shown any actual reason they should take her off. So they were keeping her on them until they saw steady improvement and she could show that she was actually doing really well. Apparently, she thought she was doing great, so she took herself off of them. She didn't tell mama, or her doctor. Mama would have noticed in a few days, when the perscription would be set for a refill and it wasn't empty. But she'd been off them for a while, nobody new, and with the end of the school year and a ton of fundraising to do for her summer missions trip, I guess she had a lot of stress to be dealing with. She isn't able to recognize the signs of her depression, or at least it doesn't seem like it, so she didn't resume taking them again when she started to feel bad, and it's pretty much impossible for us to tell.
On monday, Mama and opa and I were downstairs, and she had just had a discussion with mama about why she isn't doing her school, what she's trying to do, why she keeps lying and procrastinating so much, self sabotaging. Apparently that was a final straw, because she went upstairs and got a capful of benadryl.
Around thirty minutes later she told mama, and they took her to the hospital. There was no serious damage, luckily benadryl is a fairly harmless drug so no organs were damaged or anything. She was hazy and out of it, with some weird breathing, and her heart rate was off. They had to keep her until really late, so they could monitor her heart rate. As soon as it was normal again, they talked to mama about her condition and the options she had.
I'm not sure exactly here, but I think they moved her tuesday morning. She went to a psych hospital. She'll be meeting with a counselor, going to group meetings, stuff like that. She's with people her age, they won't mix minors with adults. She's got a mostly full day with all the meetings and extracurriculars and stuff, with about an hour of visiting time in the evening on some days. They think she'll be there around a week, and after a day she's apparently already starting to talk to them, or open up, or something. I'll wait and see, because any time she's talked to someone in the past all seems well and good and then it comes crashing down again.
You guys deserved an update, a full report, so there's what I know. Hazel, mama visited her today and Palo said you'd know who you could tell, I guess other friends of y'all's. Let me know if you guys have any questions, and I'll continue with updates if anything relevant or important happens. Hazel, maybe when she gets out you could come over, and Lee, we come in on July 6th, so the moment you're free it'd be awesome to see you.
Okay. I guess that's all there is to say.

Awe, thanks Lee!! We'll be there this July and August to hang and do fun things!
zeb-the-bro said: BUT WHAT she has the “perfect body” (every body is perfect, but hers is what most girls would want to look like)
Thanks (on her behalf I guess...)! Yeah, I always tell her she looks like Scarlett Johansson. She's really curvy but she thinks her hips are the result of fat. She has gained a bit of weight since the photo but she's still healthy ans skinny.

Thanks (on her behalf again)! I'll pass along the compliment.
