Photo taken from the demolished Leipsic School (built in 1907) at the northwest corner of South Easton Street and Oak Street, looking south-southeast down Easton. Many of the houses visible here survive, although all of them have been wrapped in vinyl or aluminum and stripped of everything interesting. The Presbyterian church at lower left is gone, as is the grain elevator in the background.

Revit Render 2016

As a way to keep my Revit skills sharp I thought it would be a good project to model the downtown of Leipsic, as I photographed the facades and I am able to scale them to get measurements. The first building I finished was the 1895 Hotel Leffler. Sadly demolished in 2015? I used the photos I took in 2013 and historic photos to try to recreate the missing elements as best I can. The Revit render is still raw and needs some Photoshop finishing, I’m hoping to show all the buildings restored or renovated.
