I got this fun ball of wool roving at a fiber festival because it reminded me of a coelacanth. And now I've spun it up into yarn that ALSO looks like a coelacanth!!

It's coelacanth yarn!! You see it, right??

And in a month or two (or three) it'll be woven into a coelacanth table runner!

Some recent knitting projects. A scarf and a neck warmer.

(I can finally post because they have been successfully delivered to real life tumblr mutuals 💜💜💜)

I made both using the same pattern with reversible cables but lost a game of yarn chicken with the one on the right. The solution was to unravel a bit and improvise some button holes and then sew on buttons.

The one on the left has tassels which I totally forgot how to make until I started winding yarn on card board.

I am once again seeking advice from the fiber arts side of tumblr. Does anyone know where to get bobbins for a country craftsman wheel? It is my only wheel and it also only has the one bobbin included. Mine was made by the son and has an even number of spokes if that matters. I am looking into fabricating my own but that will be a large project that involves getting the lathe out probably. Thank you!
