Back to Work Day One

Growing up means perpetually finding awe in all that you’ve created and in the work that you're about to create while giggling at all the younger versions of yourself because they were so quaint and simple and dead wrong about so many things. But, maybe, they were right about some stuff too.

We exist in exceptional times and the failure to realize this is probably our culture’s most massive shortcoming. This life is really, really great. Better than the past and probably better than some aspects of the future. But everything about the now is awesome. Unfortunately a lot of people cannot step out of their own woe-puddles long enough to experience some of the offerings.

Personally, I an fortunate and have no qualms about expressing gratitude. So many people are so important and inspirational. So many things could have gone horribly wrong in this life, still could. But that doesn’t mean I cannot or should not sometimes wallow in all of this golden sunshine. Why not? Half my life is over. I have so much left to do.
