The brains are based on scans of someone healthy, someone with pdd and someone with ptsd. I've been thinking a lot about presenting Leia as a disabled and mentally unwell person and this came from that. Carrie Fisher was often very open about her personal experiences with mental illness and Leia is absolutely primed for a story about those experiences and I wish this sort of thing was approached in sci-fi so much more
