Will it always be so? Every sky, sunrise or sunset, will evoke for me the tower. 4 vultures, sat watching, birds of paradise floating by and mosquitoes trying their luck.

Fire!

Tonight's sky is ablaze, yet soft, cushiony, playing against dying trees and softer fields of varying greens.

And it's already gone, making fools of those who decide it to be camera-worthy after all. Darkness takes over. Trees no longer dying, instead black and menacing. Only pricks of light stand out of the land. Cars drive blindly on, I'm hurtled through the last tunnel, waiting to be spat out, delivered onto the shores of the lake that saw my birth. And, as a reward, for my patience?, the last embers of the busy fire are still burning, there in the corner, due West.

But still will keep
