I think Doyoung/Winwin fit a mentorship-type relationship which could be comedic. E.g. Sicheng is the new secretary and Doyoung is a busy office worker. Or Doyoung is a grumpy chef and Sicheng is the clumsy assistant who always knocks things over. I think it gives way to Doyoung being a funnier and less anxious version of himself and also gives space for him to be all grumpy and 😤😤 at a poor clumsy little Sicheng. Who knows, maybe Doyoung spanks him a bit as punishment 👀👀😏😏

Dark scenarios don't come as easily to me. But if Doyoung was a more conniving person, perhaps he could be written as manipulative of the trust that Sicheng has in him. But I generally think of Doyoung being well-meaning. Maybe a dark scenario could involve him accidentally betraying Sicheng's trust? 😭 And Sicheng keeps to himself so he wouldn't really say anything, but Doyoung knows he fucked up and doesn't know how to fix it 😭 Guess that's more on the angst side.

But now that I think about it, Doyoung/Winwin have potential for angst too. Given the amount of trust that Sicheng has in Doyoung, does Doyoung have the same amount of trust in Sicheng? Maybe they will always have a bit of an unequal relationship because of that. Or maybe Sicheng wants Doyoung to trust in him more and Doyoung struggles to open up given how high strung he is.

bro every single word of this ask is amazing but my biggest takeaway is... do you wanna brainstorm an NCT / restaurant AU in which Doyoung is a talented but high-strung chef and Winwin is a new kitchen hire fumbling his way through the job?? WE COULD PROBABLY INCORPORATE THE TRUST ISSUES TOO as well as some of our other favorite Neo ships!!!
