I am very plural, autistic, and personality disordered - plus OCD and ADHD too. Everything is diagnosed and I am currently in therapy and such! My doctors are very wonderful people, they encourage and praise art based therapy! No I do not support people attempting to “transition” into being predators, as I’ve seen in many spaces. I am totally accepting of every safe, respectful, and nonviolent/nonharmful identity. If you want to ID as a cat, good for you!! What about fictional things? Also amazing for you!! But if you want to transition into some sort of predator and genuinely create harm, then you need help.
I think Malachi is too normal, but Levin isn't. Levin has those roadmaps of love confused enough to get a crush on his brother, but Malachi has been around for so long he "knows better" (knows what is deemed as better or right by humans, even if he doesn't always agree with it)
Ohhh you're so right actually. This is the correct answer, and the tension this dynamic would create is so fun to imagine scenarios with too!! Malachi might grow to be in a very torn dilemma even, conflicted between his desire to be there in the ways Levin may need (knowing its Wrong, for many reasons, but the overwhelming want to make his brother happy which stems from being raised together in such abnormal circumstances surrounded by uncertainty and loss.) and his morality and understanding that its not a good pathway to actually go down.. and obviously Levin has no reference to understand why it may be wrong. Especially since I doubt elves follow the same logic, morals, and relationships that humans do and they're being raised by Zoey.

ABSOLUTELY YES HE IS. Gene is just awful and it's great. So many interesting and fun dynamics to explore, he's terrible to everyone he loves but he's unique and individual and specifically tailored to each person. He'll treat them very differently, like maybe he's openly and obviously abusive and violent to Zenix but he's covert and manipulative to Laurance, and its canon that he's more of an influencing and controlling figure to Dante!
