Here are some fun facts about my Mash x reader fanfic as I'm writing it!

I first started writing it back in 2024, shortly after writing "Mother, a trong word" P.1 fanfic (here it is)

I started writing it with fem reader and in second person, but as I was editing and writing more of it today I scrapped that idea and instead put it with gender neutral reader and in third person (the first change was probably due to the fact that I finally realized that I'm a gender and accepted that I like the pronoun they/them just as much as she/her)

It can be taken as platinic or romantic, the relationship between Mash and Y/n, since they are only referred as friends to each other, but I know that a lot of people will find some of their actions more romantic than platonic (skill issues)

It was inspired by a Ukrainian song that I really like

In the earlier drafts, I was gonna take out Mash's friends 100% and make him obsessed (bc of the loneliness of having literally nobody outside of the reader and his dad)

As I normally do, I wrote many of the first drafts in Tumblr, but not long ago I passed the fanfic to a writing app (?) (which was a pain bc I write on my phone and I can only copy paragraph per paragraph and there's a lot of them, especially in dialogues)

As of today (21/07/2025 6 in the morning Europe) the word count is a bit over 5.4k

And that's it, hope I can finish it soon😔 if not, I'll post headcanons about bands or songs that twisted wonderland characters would listen to
