Your Truth: What's your favorite mechanic/magic system/worldbuilding concept in media?
oooh! i think it would probably have to be the way magic is described in the wheel of time series. there's a huge focus in the series about how time is woven like a pattern of lace, and the way magic is described is pretty similar. everything is "weaves" like handling complicated patterns of the five different elemental powers (earth, fire, air, water, spirit) and even though it isnt gone into excruciating detail, it's got enough bones to it to be fleshed out.
