Rules: give us the links to your fics with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and fic with the least words (feel free to interpret however you would like; if not on AO3, can be on tumblr or FFN!).
I was tagged by the lovely and very talented @spotsandsocks for this.
Most hits: 11,174 hits for 'To Boldly Go' (120,357 words)
My multi-chaptered 911 Buddie fic set in the Star Trek Universe. My pride and joy!
2nd most kudos: 424 kudos for 'The Comfort of a Home' (2,707 words)
My very first 911 Buddie fic I've ever written. Published in 2020.
3rd most comments: 22 comments for 'Stuck (on you)' (6,838 words)
This is a Buddie fic from Chimney’s POV. I so loved writing this. The spirit of Chimney possessed me. 😂
4th most bookmarks: 77 bookmarks for 'Wrapped in a Dream with You' (35,718 words)
I wrote this before last Christmas, in 2024. I got the idea somewhere in the middle of December and then, in the Christmas week, I furiously started writing and never stopped. I wrote it all in a week. It was my Christmas/New Year present for the wonderful Buddie fandom and all the great people that are in it.
It's a story filled with magic, where Buck is stuck in a snowglobe and only love can save him. Eddie gets the snowglobe as a present and gets strangely fascinated with it. Shenanigans ensue from there.
5th most words: 25,072 words for 'Persuasion'.
This is an oldie you guys. I wrote this in 2005, way back when most of fandom could be found on the Yahoo-groups and LiveJournal. It's a Josh/Donna story (sequel to another fic of mine 'Ancient History') from 'The West Wing'.
My West Wing fic is kept behind lock and key, only for the AO3 people members to read. The reason for that is because it's old and my writing has improved a lot over the years. I don't want it to just be OUT there for anyone to read. I wouldn't feel good about it.
With that in mind though, I'd like to add 'The Sound of Science' (32,549 words) here. It has the 3rd most words, but it's one I'm still very proud of. It's written for the Stargate Atlantis McShep fandom.
It's a spoof on 'The Sound of Music' where Rodney is about to become a monk, but first he is sent away to be a nanny for 7 children at Colonel Sheppard's house. I loved writing this one so much. I wrote it in 2012, but I still think of it so often. 😋
The least words: 295 words for 'Careless Whispers'.
Another oldie in yet another fandom. This was written in 2006 and it was for the 'Without a Trace' Danny/Martin fandom. By far my most loved fandom. It was a magical time of LiveJournal and meeting up with other fans in real life. We had a blast.
The ficlet itself is about unrequited love and desire from Martin's POV for Danny. I'm still proud of this one. It's an oldie, but a goodie.
Well, I had so much fun searching through my AO3 account and meandering through all my fics and past fandoms.
I would like to tag and challenge every fic writer who sees this and wants to take this one up. If you don't feel like it, no worries. 🤗
