Let’s All Gather At The Hanging Tree

The shipwreck of the S.S. Point Reyes, perched on a sand bar off the shoreline of Tomales Bay. It is located in the small town of Inverness, Pro photographers and tourists alike have taken photographs of this old boat for many years. In February of 2016 the boat was burned in what some suspect was a spark-filled photo shoot gone wrong. No matter how it happened, this famous little ship dubbed the S.S. Point Reyes is just not the same. BEACHED ON A SANDBAR IN Inverness, California, the abandoned Point Reyes Boat would seem to be little more than a large piece of detritus littering an otherwise protected wetland, but don’t tell that to the droves of photographers that take advantage of its mouldering beauty.

The old girl has seen better days. The last fire has all but done her in. Point Reyes most famous ship wreck.
