sterling thomas was born to a single father in palm springs , california. his mother was never interested in raising him but his father stepped up & took care of him with pretty much nothing to his name.

sterling & his dad are incredibly close ! his dads like his best friend and they’ve been through everything together.

because of his upbringing , sterling didn’t really have a lot growing up. they lived in a one bedroom apartment and he did little things around the complex to help earn money for him and his dad. teachers are his school were super receptive and always sent him home with food and things to make sure he was okay. 

ever since he learned his mom didn’t want to stick around & was just out there letting his dad do this alone , his heart closed up a bit and he only really gave out trust to his dad.

however , as closed off as he was , he learned to dance his way around words to benefit himself and his dad. anything he could do to make sure they stayed afloat.

as soon as he was hold enough , he was working at least two jobs to be able to support him and his dad comfortably. it was a lot of work , but it was worth it. 

once he turned eighteen and graduated high school , sterling already knew he didn’t plan on going to college. it wasn’t something they could afford or really even something he felt like he wanted to do. 

but his dad has been saving little by little over the years without telling sterling and had originally planned on using it to get sterling into college. however , he wasn’t going to force him to. 

instead , he told sterling about the money and let him figure out what he wanted to do with it. 

for a year , sterling didn’t do much with it. however , he did buy a camera and some other tools to help him start a youtube channel. 

besides his dad , the only consistency in his life had been music. it was his escape after work or after school. he had friends at school but never really wanted to spend time with them.

was always the kid walking around with a guitar over his back and making people swoon with his music. 

SO ANYWAY ! on a whim , he decides to make this youtube channel. 

it gains some traction and he begins to work some lil gigs here and there. 

as time goes on , sterling wants to be in california less and less. and eventually , he dad convinces him to go on the road. 

on a total whim with the saving his dad gave him , sterling leaves california and travels the states working little gigs here and there as well as vlogging his travels to build up money. 

eventually , two years ago , he finds and settled down in vegas. theres something about the busy city that just drew him in , and he wanted to spend time really building a bigger fanbase.

he’s not a super super well known musician , but he’s getting there.

**tw death, accidents**

— born and raised in CHICAGO. his mother was a surgeon, his father a lawyer so he had a pretty comfortable life growing up.

— decided he wanted to be a paramedic when he was twelve and witnessed them in action saving his father’s life after a terrible car accident. his father went on to make a full recovery because of them and ryan knew from that moment that’s what he was going to do.

— after high school, he completed an EMT program at one of the local community colleges in chicago as well as firefighter training. he then shadowed for six months with the CFD before going on to complete the paramedic program at malcom x college.

— at 21 he returned to the CFD to serve full-time. for two and a half years, it was an incredible experience and he felt like he’d truly found his place in the world and then tragedy struck.

— he doesn’t really remember how it happened, how his best friend matthew became fatally injured saving someone else, all he knows is that in the end he couldn’t save him and that no one deserves to have someone they love die in their arms.

— losing matthew hit ryan incredibly hard, shaking his confidence in the field and in himself. he took some time off before ultimately deciding he needed to get out of chicago.

— two months ago ( mid-june 2020 ) a connection panned out and a spot opened up in one of the las vegas fire & rescue stations and ryan took it.

— he has a kind heart and genuinely wants the best for people even if it’s not the best for himself. his tendency to trust people and always see the best in them has led to him getting his heart broken a few too many times, and yet it has not dampened his kindness.

— he’s still working on trusting his instincts and finding his confidence again. not so deep down he still blames himself for losing matthew, and no matter how many lives he saves after him it feels too insignificant.

born and raised in pensacola, florida, to a marie and christopher jacobs. maren spent most of his childhood in his backyards woodland area.

from a young age he loved the outdoors, so much so that his parents kept a tent set outside just for him. (which he’d sleep in most of the time)

his dad was his role model, everything he learned about the outdoors, whether it be fishing, hiking, rock climbing, his dad taught him.

his mom worked at a bakery and his dad worked in woodwork.

maren’s interest in carpentry all came from his dad, and at the time he was glad to learn it from him. strived to be just like him, and just as good at it, if not better.

at around age fifteen, maren’s dad started acting shifty, he didn’t think much of it until he noticed his mom, who used to smile often, hiding her tears.

it wasn’t until a few months later, maren found out his dad had another family.

his world and his mom’s fell apart. everything he was, he was because of his dad. it was hard for him to hate someone he thought of as his best friend.

a year later their family fully separated, his dad moving to las vegas to start his own company, along with his other family.

for a while, maren became a recluse, stayed indoors, and tried to abandon all the things that made him happy, all the things that reminded him of his dad. with a small fear that everything about him reminded his mother of the same.

they were supportive of each other and as close as they could be, but there was always something between them, and they never talked about his dad ever again.

upon graduating he realized the only thing he loved and was good at was carpentry.

one day looking for supplies at home depot, attempting to get back into his craft, he met a man who eventually became his real mentor, giving him the official training he needed to become licensed.

after a year of training, his dad reached out. and offered him a job working for his company in vegas.

it took a while for maren to even answer his calls, and even then, he didn’t want to talk about it with his mom. worried what would happen if he let him back into his life. but he did, and they agreed.

he eventually settled on coming to vegas after his apprenticeship was over, giving him and his mother plenty of time to work things out. he was sad to leave but they both knew they had some growing to do without each other.

with a new life in vegas, maren hopes to find something to hold onto. he doesn’t love the idea of working with his dad but he knows it’s a good opportunity for him.

while the outdoors reminds him of his dad, these days, he uses it as an escape from him. even going out of his way to have his work hours be different then his.

outside of his daddy issues, maren is a fun guy, he loves being carefree, which is def more him always ignoring his issues, boy hates sitting down and thinking things through.

he’s the perfect pal to go buy plants with and even better for spontaneous trips. his truck always packed and ready to go! he’s ready to live a life, and he’s gonna be kinda messy about it the whole way, but like he always says, “that’s a problem for tomorrow,” and he’ll say that tomorrow too! dkfsf

i. moon was always an odd child. the first thing striking strange was how he didn’t spoke until the age of seven. besides being a quiet, very into his own world child, his parents still got struck with shock and concern so they went over and beyond to make sure they knew what was wrong with their baby boy. doctors could not explain the lack of sounds and words coming from the child. it took seven years and a straightforward doctor to tell them moon simply ... didn’t want to talk. like he knew how to and knew the vocabulary, he just didn’t want to to talk. scandalized, his parents kept looking for the best diagnosis, but moon really just didn’t want to talk 

ii. not to mention the Rhee family were owners of several multi-national and international businesses, so spending money? not a problem. it also took a lot of time from the two parents so moon was left to the nannies. you know, typical rich person problem. ( TW NEGLECT ) since he had already brought attention to himself once and didn’t enjoy it, he did the bare minimum to not be noticed. this didn’t meant he didn’t crave attention, but seeing his parents running around, spending money made him take a step back. like i said: he was an odd child. he dove on his books and notes, especially diving in the world he would one day call his profession

iii. he wasn’t one to cause problems, he really wasn’t. the only moments he really disappointed and brought the attention to himself was when he did his first tattoo, at fifteen. he wasn’t the most popular for sure, but he had a solid group of friends who genuinely loved him. even so, they did everything together, including forming a band at some point, which was later dissolved. it was around this time Moon started to pick up from social media, even starting a youtube channel with his friends. as time went by, the channel became more redirected to what moon did and posted, so changed to his own, personal channel

vi. he was still the heir to the rhee fortune and this meant some obligations; obligations he did not want. one of them was settling down with someone of higher class. luckily, his naive personality at the time made it easier for him to actually fall in love with one of those, leaving his mother static. the boy was infatuated with the most beautiful pristine new york girl and wedding plans were already in the making. but moon is intense and he already wanted to be with her at all times, so they moved in together as soon as they turned eighteen and started their life together ... everything was picture perfect, until ... it wasn’t

vi. he finally realized this wasn’t it for him. he didn’t recognized himself in the mirror. he didn’t knew who he was anymore. so three years into living together, he packs his things in secret. he prepares to leave and just ... disappears from the maps. he’s not stupid, however. he knows his family will find him pretty quick. his mother tells him she’ll disown him if he doesn’t come back, but it doesn’t matter; moon finds home in las vegas, by himself. with the money he saved, he opens his parlour and relies on his famous contacts and clients to come by. his heart? shut down. he’s still cheeful for his videos and fans, vlogging and doing whatever he wants. youtube pays well too. and he got the views and subscribers for it
