About the Mass Effect Quesions (I would ask them all if I could, but here's a selection I'm curious about); 10, 52 and 56 & 57 with why?
I'd also love to answer them all :D Always feel free to ask me more, if you want to :D
Aaaahh, there are so many awesome quotes out there, serious but also funny ones. I'm still getting goosebumps during Shepard's motivational speeches, so I'm going to go for this one:
"This war's brought us pain, and suffering, and loss. But it's also brought us together, as soldiers, allies... friends. This bond that ties us together is something that the Reapers will never understand. It's more powerful than any weapon, stronger than any ship. It can't be taken or destroyed."
(but I also love "You're a big stupid jellyfish." and "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite place on the Citadel.")
52: Fluffiest headcanon ever?
I also have quite a few of those :D One of my favourites is that after their date on the Citadel Shepard and Kaidan go for a walk, then stop and look across the Presidium lake. Kaidan admires how peaceful everything seems, like nothing's changed since they visited the Citadel for the first time 3 years ago. Then Shepard says "Something's changed..." smiles and takes Kaidan's hand.
56: Who has the best character arc?
Again, so many of them!! I think Kaidan, Liara, Tali and Miranda for example have some really nice character arcs, especially those 3 who were around in me1 made an amazing development. Since Kaidan's my favourite of those I mentioned I'm going to focus on him with my answer. To say it with Liara's words, Kaidan has become so capable in me3 but all along he stayed true to his values. He was loyal to the Alliance and I know that a lot of people give him shit for leaving on Horizon, but just imagine being in his situation. I truly understand why he was angry and after all he was right not to trust Cerberus (but tbh, my Shepard never trusted them either).
57: Who was written really poorly?
Kai Leng. He's probably the most boring character for me. They did a good job with bringing me to hate him, but that isn't enough to make him a good antagonist. Like for example, what are his motives? The Illusive Man wants to strengthen humanity, he's manipulative and puts humans over everything. Saren actually has some really noble motives, he wants to prevent the galactic civilization from extinction, but he's using the wrong means and is just a tool of the Reapers (but still he fights his indoctrination by the end). Damn, even Udina has some actual motives that I understand, even though it's mainly being and powerhungry, selfish ass... Maybe I'm missing something about Kai Leng's character because I haven't read the novel where he plays a part (but on the other hand that novel seems to be just as shitty, haha...)
Thanks for asking, lenthil!! :D
