on nicknames and for some reason on nature

My real name is Irina. But for a long time I'm using Leo as my nickname. It's not actually me trying to sound manly or tough. It's just... When I started chatting with random strangers on Intrenet (when was it? 2002?) I tried to invent myself a nice nickname. And I invented Leo-loErlahell. Where did it come from? Did lots of nice Leos from movies all around influence me somehow? Maybe even King Leoric from Diablo? I'm not sure myself, actually.

What I don't get the reason for constant nickname changes. Pick the one that people will really associate with you! Stop changing it depending on your current show! 

What I do know - I wanted it to be 1) somewhat long, 2) interesting and 3)unisex enough (blame anime). That's how Leo was born. Many things happened since then, every other attempt at inventing nicks forgotten - but Leo stayed with me. It's my first choice on every new site I need to register on - and hey! It's not like it's gonna be taken, right?

The only visible change was from somewhat diabolical Leo-loErlahell to short and more graceful and rhyming Leo-loErlo. And that's how you know me )

I have an alternative russian nickname though - Лавровишня which is Prunus laurocerasus or cherry laurel - all thanks to that 1st January photo of me in the Sochi botanical garden "Dendrarium":

PS: it's not like it's my most favourite local plants, I like Pittosporum tobira aka Japanese cheesewood the most! The flowers smell delicious!
