I see you. [Kara / Leo]
Kara looked past Julius' shoulder, her arms folded behind her as she stood tall, never meeting his gaze. Kara began to play with the tips of her hair with her hands that were folded behind her back, she shifted her weight to one leg than the other over and over until Julius spoke.
"Follow him." was all Julius said then turned and walked away, back upstairs to his office.
Kara sighed and turned on her heels, pushing past the guards and the door then finally into the woods, shifting mid sprint. The change happened easily, she'd practiced it for years. Kara knew she was faster in wolf form, she would be able to move quieter and pick up his scent faster. As the thin veil of magic fell around her Kara didn't forget if she was caught like this even she'd be punished. No one was allowed to shift in Ironmore Falls. It 'set a bad example' as Julius had said once. The magic devoured Kara, her bones shifting and grinding against each other until everything went black, a second later she was seeing in black-and-white, she knew she'd changed. It felt amazing. It felt freeing. Kara let out a loud howl before she took off again, the frozen leaves and grass crushing against her paws.
Kara ran for at least fifteen minutes until she picked up a scent. He was close. She knew that. And he was lost. He would never find the stream, even Kara didn't know where it was. She simply assumed it was so far out Julius would make sure no one would find it. But he was a warlock, maybe he was drawn to the power. At the thought of him finding the stream, resulting in Kara failing her task and loosing her position as Julius' soon to be second she pushed herself faster until she was crouched down in a bush, observing the young warlock.
