How to participate in #LeoAutorasOct (#IReadWomenOct)?
READ
In October, read only female writers. It doesn’t matter literary gender, age, or century. From Mary Shelley to Dolores Redondo, from Virginia Woolf to Mariana Enríquez, from Anne Brontë to Ana María Matute. If a woman has written it, dare to read it.
SHARE
Shout to the world that in October it’s time to vindicate literature written by women. A photo on your instagram, a comment on twitter or facebook, a list on goodreads, a review on your blog or videoblog. Tell your parents, your siblings, your friends, your children, your grandchildren, your neighbors. Talk about the initiative, the female writers’ books you still have to read, the ones you’ve read, the ones you’re reading. Use the HT #LeoAutorasOct and dive into it to find other people who share your interests.
RECOMMEND
Time is tight and we like to read good stories. Recommend your favorite books written by women so that other people can enjoy them, even going out of their comfort zone. Look for recommendations from other people to discover authors you haven’t heard of before.
