New su gem oc again. This time is Sunset Pearl. I create this oc, when days ago.

Backstory

Sunset Pearl is one of Teal Pearl's friend and other gems (Strawberry Quartz, Blue Topaz and Pink Sapphire). She don't like to be servant likes Teal Pearl, and she don't like Caste System in Homeworld. Because, she got teased and insult by some high-rank gems because, she's just Pearl and servant, and she doesn't like being forced to work. She wants to be free from to be a servant and leave Homeworld with Caste System like her other friends someday. Several thousands years later, after Era 3 is begin. She decied to moved from Homeworld to start new life on the Earth with Teal Pearl and her friends. Days later in once day, while Sunset Pearl is talking with her friend, Teal Pearl. She saw Leon is standing at beach (at that time, she don't know his name yet). She walked to look him. Then, she greeted him. That moment, she made Leon shocked. But then, Leon started fall in love her. Meanwhile, Sunset Pearl started like and interesting about Leon.

He's quiet, calm, collected, serious and loner. He don't talk much, except about works. He's very serious about his job. He's honest to everyone and his work.

In the past, he's cheerful and easily smile, when he was kid and his parent were still alive. But after he lost his dad and mom, he became no longer smiling for years (until, he meet Sunset Pearl). He love and care his uncle much like his father. Because, his uncle is who takes care of him until now, after he lost his parent.

Because he's loner, he keeps to himself and like to be alone, It makes him has a few friends. Except his partner, Stanley with Stanley's friends (Andy, Richard and James) and his few friends in his workplace (until, he meet and know Steven with The Crystal Gems).

He don't show his true feeling much. Except his uncle, his few friend and someone he love (after, he meet Sunset Pearl). Although, he looks like serious guy. But sometime, he will show his gentle and soft side, when he's around or talking to childrens, or especially when he's around to someone he love (Sunset Pearl).

He's diligent and hard-working eveyday, he works well as a police detective. He's clever and always careful, when he works about Investigation. He's good fighter, he has martial arts skills.

Backstory

Leon Yang is Police Detective. He's Chinese/American. In the past, He born and raised in another city with his parent and uncle.

Until once day, Leon lost his parent from car accident, while he was 12 years. After that event, Leon became no longer smiling again. Then since, he lives with his uncle.

1 year later, Leon moved to another city with uncle. They lived at that city, until he graduated high school and university.

Months later after Leon graduated university. While, his uncle has enough money to buy a house, they decide moved to the city (where Richard lives).

Days later, Leon works as a police officer. He met and became partner with Stanley, while Stanley was Sergeant. At that time, he think Stanley is too bit very loud for him. But shortly thereafter, he and Stanley became friends.

Years later, Leon became Police Detective. While, Stanley get promoted to Leutentant.

Once day, Leon is working, he saw his partner, Stanley look old photo when he was teenage with other 3 guys, Leon wonder who are they. Stanley said, they're Andy, Richard and James,  his old friends when years ago. Then, Stanley start tell about them, his past and the begining to Polilce. It made Leon started respect Stanley more than before.

Then Stanley said, Richard, James and him is still live this city, while one of their friends, Andy don't contact them for years. But good news is Richard met Andy at Beach City with his cousin and nephew, Greg and Steven when days ago, Andy will visit them soon. Stanley invited Leon visit them. At first, he thought not to go. But Stanley really want he know them. Plus Leon realize, he has few friends beside Stanley. He decide to visit them, and that is the beginning between him with Stanley's friends, and the beginning for him to know about Gems.

Months later, after Era 3 is begin. At that time, Sunset and her other friends (Teal Pearl, Blue Topaz,Pink Sapphire and Strawberry Quartz) moved from Homeworld to the earth for days later. While Leon, Stanley, Richard and Andy come to Beach City for visit Greg and Steven with The Crystal Gems again.

Later on the same day, Leon is walks around Beach City. he's bit surprise with many Gems lives in this city. While, he's standing at beach. He don't realize, Sunset Pearl is standing behide him until she ask him. He's shocked to see her. But then, he start fall in love her. But at that time, Sunset Pearl don't know yet.

Months later, Sunset Pearl started realize Leon has crush her because her friends, Teal Pearl. Plus at that time, Sunset started bit interesting in him. Then, the begining of love between Leon and Sunset Pearl.

Ping Yang  is Leon's uncle. Formerly, he's Banker. In the past, He lives at another city with Leon's parent and his nephew, Leon.

1 year later, Ping moved to another city with his nephew, Leon. They lived at that city, until Leon graduated high school and university.

Sunny love Leon's calmness and reasonable. He make her learn about how live on earth and human culture better. P;us he make her became more responsible and reasonable.

Leon love Sunny's cheerfulness and optimistic. Her bright smile make him smile and make his life are lively again.

1. How it HappensLeon don't expect to fall in love someone, especially someone is gem as Sunset first. Because at that time, he usually focuses only on his work and doesn't care much about love.

Sunny never thought, she would fall in love with human as Leon first after she move to earth. But after she met and know Leon, she started to like and be interest in him.

Handling Conflict

Leon is calm and can control his emotions well, so he doesn't get angry easily. This makes him more tolerant of Sunny's personality, mood and energy. Because, he knew well that she's gem, and she was new to live on Earth and human culture

Sunny isn't usually who gets angry easily. She feels guilty every time, when she accidentally does that to someone, especially Leon. However, because she doesn't like to keep small things to herself that will stress her out. She's able to forgive easily. She's more mature, sensible and responsible after she met and live with Leon.

Reltionship Attitude Leon is the type who doesn't really show his love to Sunny in public. Because, he knows when to do it. Mostly, he just holds hands or kisses her cheek. But when he does, he isn't shy to show his true love and feelings for her, even in front of other people.

Sunny isn't shy to show her love and feeling to Leon in public than him. Mostly, she likes to hold hands, arm in arm, or even kiss him to other people. But at the same time, she also learns about the appropriateness from Leon, so she knows when and where to do it.

Showing Affection Leon love and care Sunny much. Although, he doesn't show it in words. He starts to spend more time with her, is happier and more fun with her, and shows his true feelings more. Before, he would focus on his work most of the time and not show his feelings much. Leon would teach Sunny a basic skills like, housework, cooking and shopping, so that she would learn how to live on Earth. Because Leon lost his parents when he was 12 years old, he's mature and independent. He could rely on himself better than other. Because of the loss of his parents, Leon became a police detective to protect the people. Because, he didn't want others to face the same loss as him.

Sunny is brave and independent. It's reason made her not hesitate to decide to come to Earth to start a new life. But, she's more easy-going than her boyfriend. Sunny can protect can take care of herself to some extent (Although, not as well as Leon).

Leon was the first to apologize Sunny. Although, Leon doesn't usually argue with anyone and he doesn't like arguing, especially with Sunny. he rarely fights with her. Leon feels guilty every time it happens. But because Sunny is who forgives easily, she understands him.

(In fact, Sunny secretly feels guilty towards Leon. Because, she act childish and is stubborn towards him sometimes. Which, she wants to apologize to him first).

Sunny is gem, she wasn't sick. First time, she saw Leon sick, she didn't know how to cure him at that time. But luckily Leon's uncle, Ping was who teach her how to take care of Leon and treat him.

For Leon: Because Leon is an early bird, he's the one who prepared and cooked the food before work. He knew how to cook very well. Sometimes, his uncle would come and help him cook. Leon had some knowledge of Chinese food from his father and uncle.

For Sunny: When she first moved into his house, she didn't know how to cook at all. Luckily, Leon taught her how to cook simple dishes, and his uncle taught her how to cook Chinese food most of the time. She usually cooks simple dishes.

Does the housework: Both

For Leon: Leon knew how to do housework when he was a kid from his parents and uncle. He would help with housework to help his uncle with the burden.

For Sunny: Sunny learn how to do homework from Leon and his uncle, Ping. Although, she couldn't do it as thoroughly as Leon and his uncle.

Sunny is usually a talkative. She likes to talk to make everyone smile. She's also a brave who dares to say things that some people and gems don't dare to say, Leon admires her for this. But, sometimes she isn't careful in speaking in certain situations, so Leon always warns her about certain points.

Because Leon lost his parents when he was a 12 years, went through many things in his teenage life, and he worked as a detective for years, it made him very protective. Although, he know well Sunny is gem and has some gem powers enough take care of herself. But Sunny, But, he still wanted to protect her as human.

Designated driver: Leon

Because Leon works as a police who is quite strict about the rules. Plus, he doesn't usually party much (except it was small party with his close friends), and doesn't like drinking, he's often the one who drives his friends.

The Planner: Leon *[From part 2]

Because Leon is careful, he's a good planner. Both when working, or even when planning a trip with his uncle, girlfriend or close friends.

"Excuse me, they asked for no pickles.": Both (depends on the situation) *[From part 2]

For Leon: Although, Leon know Sunny has no problem with pickles, even if the employee made a mistake. He's okay with it, as long as the employee apologizes. But if there is a time when there is pickles in dish on a day that Sunny doesn't want it and employee is rude to her and crosses the line too much, Leon will be very angry and dissatisfied. But because Leon is calm and careful in his actions, he is able to control himself. Then, he will confront and warn the rude employee with a serious face that makes many people afraid, even employee.

For Sunny: Sunny know Leon is okay with pickles in some dishes. But if Leon gets a pickles he doesn't want, and he happens to meet an employee who behaves and speaks rudely to him. Sunny will immediately scold that employee without warn in public. Although deep down Leon admires in Sunny's bravery, but he doesn't want her to do that often. So, he has to remind her to be more patient and careful, which she understands him.

For Leon: Before Leon met Sunny, Leon was mostly focused on his work and never really cared about love at that time until he met Sunny.

For Sunny: Before Era 3, Sunny had never had any gems in her life. She live as Servant on Homeworld. After she move to Earth in Era 3 to start new life, she don't expect that she fall in love with human until she met Leon.

For Leon: Because Leon had been a police detective for years, he had a good sense of reading other people and gem's emotions and body language. He could sense the slight changes in Sunny's emotions and feelings. Plus, Leon knew Sunny is always cheerful. Whenever he saw her sad, he would encourage her and stay by her side until she felt better.

For Sunny: Sunny can sense Leon's emotion and feelings changes, although he doesn't show them often. Especially, when he starts act serious and stress him out, she will warn him. But if he shows sadness, she will cheer him up as best she can.

Big Spoon and Little Spoon

- Sunny is big spoon. She would often cuddle him.

- Leon is little spoon. He would cuddle her sometimes.

Early Bird and Revenge Procrastination - Leon is early bird. Before he meet Sunny, he usually wakes up early, even during his breaks from work that day. He rarely wakes up late.

- Although Sunny is gem, she's also early bird as Leon, if she sleeps. she's the earliest one, she wakes up earlier than her boyfriend. But, she doesn't leave the room right away. She stays in his bedroom and watches him sleep until he wakes up.

Tidy and Chaotic - Leon is a tidy, he's usually a quiet and neat. which he knows how to behave better than his girlfriend, Sunny.

- Before Era 3, Sunny is quite chaotic for pearl in some other gems and gem society thought. Which conflict the to gems and gem society see all Pearls as elegant and neat.

Scream over bug and Remove bug - Sunny isn't really afraid of insects, and she's usually the one to take them out, when Leon and his uncle isn't home.

- Leon wasn't afraid of insects to begin with, so he knew how to deal with them very well.

Leads clothes and Borrow clothes - Leon usually lend his shirt to his girlfriend, Sunny to wear.

- Sunny often borrowed her Leon's shirt many times. She loved wearing his clothes. Because, she feel comfortable to wear his shirt.

Romantic and Casual - Although Sunny is gem, but she's romantic in her own way. She knows how to please Leon, make him smile and happy. She isn't shy to show her love in public.

- Leon isn't shy man, he's also quite romantic in his way. he started spending more time with Sunny, especially after he met Sunny.

Decisive and Indecisive - Leon is decisive to a certain extent. But because he's a police detective, and he's already a careful, he can't make a decision immediately. Because, he has to be sure that what he thinks is right, he starts to make a decision to do that. But the only thing he can decide decisively without hesitation is to come in and protect others, kids and who he loves, especially Sunny.

- Sunny is decisive figure in some matters like about fun things or something especially when she decided to move to Earth without hesitation after Era 3 was begin. However, if something seems too difficult for her, she hesitates. Sunny often turns to Leon for advice and guidance, helping her make the decision.

Take a hint and Clueless - Because Leon is intelligence, and has many years of experience as a police detective. He can guess other's people or gems body language. Many times, he can know Sunny's body language

- Although Sunny is gem and she's new to Earth and human. So, she don't know about human's feelings. Fortunately, Leon was the one who taught her about Earth and human's feelings, plus she's quite fast learner gem. It made her can adapt to live on earth and learn about human's feelings some points. She can guess Leon's mood and feelings, she tried her best to be considerate of her boyfriend, Leon as gem. Although she don't fully understand human.

Mature and Playful - Lost parents at a kid, it made Leon is serious about life and more mature than others his age at the time. He don't often show his true feeling, except his uncle, close friends and Sunny (after, he met her). He felt more relax and comfortable after he met Sunny.

- Sunny is cheerful pearl, she's playful than her boyfriend, Leon. But because Gem Caste System and gem society before Era 3, she couldn't fully express her cheerfulness and couldn't dance or do anything else as she wished, except for Servant as Pearl. After Era 3 was begin and she move to Earth, she was finally able to unleash her cheerfulness and have the freedom to do whatever she wanted.

Straightforward and Vague - Leon is straightforward, He wasn't afraid to speak the truth, although his straightforward words, serious expression, and lack of expression made some people who didn't know him feel intimidated and uncomfortable. He knew that some people wouldn't accept the truth, as he didn't like to lie to others. It also gave him techniques for talk to other (depending on the person and the situation). But his girlfriend, Sunny appreciated his honesty.

- Sunny is also straightforward as Leon, she don't be shy to tell or show her true feelings. But she's gem and new to Earth and human society, it made her often not careful when talking to other human and gems, even if she doesn't mean to. Leon would sometimes warn her. But at the same time, he admired Sunny for not being afraid to express her true feelings.

Confident and Shy - Sunny is quite confident, she's less shy than Leon. She always believed in herself when she decides to do something.

- Leon isn't shy, he can show his love to Sunny in unexpected public places. Sometimes, he doesn't care if his partner as Stanley, friends or others see him doing the same thing.

Ray of sunshine and Done - Sunny is always cheerful and friendly. She's who make serious guy as Leon have smile and happy again, she's sunshine in his life

- Leon is usually serious and doesn't show his feelings much, except his uncle, close friends, girlfriend as Sunny and children. In the past, Leon used to be a cheerful kid. But the loss of his parents changed him, he became a serious, realistic, sometimes pessimistic. At that time, he was a loner and didn't have many friends.

Realistic and Idealistic - Leon is mature and generally realistic, and he rarely acts foolishly. But deep down, he still holds a glimmer of hope in his life, like living a peaceful and happy life again with someone he love.

- Because Sunny had lived with strict Caste system rules in Homeworld before, she saw Earth as an ideal planet for her to choose to live. Plus, she's an optimistic. She chooses to overlook the bad things she encounters, and mostly focuses on the good.

Would die for attention and Independent - Leon became independent from lost his parents, He can take care of himself well and doesn't rely on others too much (except, in some situations where he truly needs their help).

- Sunny is independent gem by nature. She don't afraid and always ready to learn new things about Earth and human as she decide to move and live on Earth, after Era 3 was begin and heard about Earth. She can take care of herself to a certain extent.

Tense and Easy-going - Leon is quite a serious guy, especially when he's working. Sometimes, he takes his work too seriously and it causes him stress. But after he met Sunny, he started spend more time with her and his uncle, and learned to be more relaxed.

- Sunny is more easy-going and carefree than her boyfriend, Leon. She doesn't really care about keeping stressful things in her mind.

Head and Heart - Leon is usually serious and rational, especially when it comes to work. But, he will sometimes show his kind and gentle side, especially towards children or who he loves and cares for, like his uncle and Sunny.

- Being a cheerful and friendly person by nature, Sunny is who can turn a tense situation into something better.
