Outrunning Death ( leonard-snark)

“Well well, it looks like I’m not the only person who needs to escape their fate now am I?” he remarked having just snatched the man from an explosion. He knew him from history, one of the first rival’s to the Flash other than himself to be considered a nemesis. At least normally, he wasn’t entirely sure just what Captain Cold of all people was doing helping Rip Hunter.

“Leonard Snart, working with Rip Hunter to over throw the Time Masters. I must say this is interesting”

“Why are those freshmen staring at you?”

Sara shrugged, leaning back into the auditorium chair next to him. She didn’t even cast a glance at the group of eyes which were practically burning into her flesh. Freshmen, god, the worst. She did, however, glance over at Leonard with a huff. 

“I didn’t do anything,” she defended lightly, but then a light smirk broke out on her lips as she propped her doc marten boots up on the seat in front of her. “Well, one might have asked for my number-- and I might have told him I would give it to him... if he let me lobotomize him so he’d have a legitimate reason for that stupid look on his face.”

James grinned ear to ear as he laid his eyes on the ship The Waverider that sat before him and his sister, they had been trying to find it for about a year now since Alicia had come up with her crazy idea to save their dad. “Now the question is, are they here before or after he dies?” Alicia asked as she walked up to the ship “Really?” James asked following her quickly “I would have thought the question would be ‘how do we get on board’ “  Alicia smirked at him and shook her head before using a special technique she had learned from her Aunt. 

“Gel finger prints, Aunt Lisa made them of Dad’s forever ago just in case of something stupid like this.” Alicia told him as she slid on a glove and the finger prints over them before she used it to open the ship the electric voice of GIDEON came over announcing that Leonard Snart had entered the ship.  James laughed a bit before he and his sister walked onto the ship which seemed surprisingly quiet “They’re either gone or something really bad is going on and we walked right into the middle of it.” Alicia pointed out to him looking around cautiously

Sara resisted the urge to back off from him, from what he was saying. It was a back-handed sort of confession of love, the sort she would have delivered, but it somehow left her more affected then otherwise. 

They weren’t the kind for grandiose gestures, but the words that creeped past his lips left her more torn than anything he could have carefully devised.  “You’re the pot calling the kettle black,” she chuckled, edging towards him. “I can tolerate you, can shine, but are you really ready?”
