You can’t save someone out of their own lives.
And if someday the uncertainty of this world becomes too overwhelming, I hope you remember that some mysteries aren’t meant to be solved, they’re meant to be lived.
You’re lighting up my flame from the inside. How did you get in? I don’t even know how to get in.
Having the confidence to show your real face is also about trusting the kindness of the world that’ll see it. To open up and live as you truly are is an act of faith.
Pay attention to things that usually pass you by unnoticed. Discover new sounds in songs you like and new meanings in your favorite stories. And then go beyond. Listen to new songs. Read new stories. Fall in love with astronomy and then with painting. Start writing poems, songs, and love letters. The possibilities are endless and whatever you choose to do, just remember to never stop opening the doors of your existence because behind some of them you may actually find yourself.
The heart knows a secret the mind can’t grasp. A poem that’ll always remain unwritten.
I had this little mindshift the other day and decided to write this poem.
