A day to remember (leonard-snart-rp)

@leonard-snart-rp —————— A few things Alicia had never imagined about her wedding day: one, she’d marry some hero that had caused her years of trouble. Two, she’d have some traditional wedding in a church where she half expected her half of the family to just burst into flames on entry. And three, she would actually start getting cold feet while she was supposed to be headed to her wedding. At the moment she was standing across the street from the church, she had just gotten her hair and makeup done at some fancy salon and now standing there it felt like she had stepped into cement as she stood staring at the church just unable to move some how. She didn’t even notice when her brother had left her and not even when her dad had come to talk to her either.

Sara sighed, watching him carefully, analytically, the same way she had looked at her exam. He was attractive, but she had careful rules about attachments. Letting people in resulted in, at best, a distraction, and a worst, an entanglement that would pull her away from what really mattered-- her performance. “Thanks, Leonard, but I’m no charity case-- no puppy that needs to be taken in from the cold-- I’m fine.” She rebuffed with tightly narrowing eyes and opening up her book again. When he kept talking, a itch of defensiveness left her mouth opening despite itself. “I thought you were making a play, which would have been mildly interesting.” Her tone was aloof, managing to hide her interest in what he was purposing, and her interest in what she was... “I’m more of a no strings kind of girl, so if you want drinks and sex and no morning texts-- well, then you know who to call.” She put her highlighter back to the page, doing her very best to ignore him as they waited for scores to be posted.

     Sara had been studying for days, nearly constantly, only pausing to occasionally eat in the mess of her apartment or sleep (generally with her forehead pressed firmly into her book). Had been consumed by the need to excel, to prove herself worthy of being here, be known as smart and clever instead of just beautiful, and to make her father proud after he’d taken out the considerable loan to pay for her pursuit of medicine. After the exam, most students filtered off, not concerned enough to wait for the exams to be scored and the results to be posted, but Sara didn’t. Sara stood vigil, already having pulled out the book for biochemistry and sunk herself against the wall. It was her worst subject, and she dutifully color-coded the text with highlighters and wrote notes in a small composition book if she had difficulty with a concept. It wasn’t until she realized that someone else was waiting, a familiar presence, that she glanced up in a mess of blonde hair. It was only for a moment to confirm, and then she glanced back to the pages and continued working– but found herself saying, “Leonard, fancy seeing you here.”

Sara strode into the room further, her room even though it didn’t look like she belonged to it. When her own body, the blonde hair and thin frame that concealed the deadly strength of muscles no one ( outside herself ) would know the full extent of-- well, it left her-- his-- lips hanging lax in shock. When her body, the man inside of it, referred to her as Sara, well it all but confirmed her suspicions. She was in him, and he was in her. It didn’t make any sense, not a lick of it. 

When her body   s h r i e k e d , it left a deep crease on Leonard’s face in disapproval. “I would appreciate if you didn’t make noises like that while you’re inside my body, Leonard,” though it was a bit absurd considering she was locked in his lithe frame. “ Long fingertips ran through hair like she would have on her own head, but fell short and ended up rubbing at the long line of his neck. “Me? I didn’t do anything, Snart. I woke up like this-- same as you.” She huffed walking over to the closet she knew well, pulling out an oversized sweats that were still too small for him but did enough to cover his form. She pulled out a similar outfit and tossed it to the body that had since previously been occupied by her. “Put this on.” She strode over to him, looking her body over. “I was hotter than I thought...” but then a knot in her stomach had her looking away... his body was, undeniably, attracted to her own.

Sara smiled a lightly, letting him soothe her fears. He always managed to know what she was thinking, and could head whatever panic or darkness off at the pass-- winding her down before she was ever even realized how close she was to the pit of fear looming near her. Sara settled her hand over his with a light smile. “I love you both,” her tone barely over a whisper, as she settled against his chest. Her head relaxing into the crook of his neck as she sighed happily. 

“You don’t have to condescend, Leonard. I understand.” She gently reproved, despite the age gap she wasn’t some unexperienced, naive thing. She knew how the world worked. But whatever agitation she felt was dispersed by the soft lips on her neck. She let him soothe her further, hands on her arms and fingers running through her hair. 

“What about Ray?” she offered, not entirely pleased with the idea of Barry, but also understanding his displeasure with Oliver. Just the issue that she had loved the green-garbed man, not to mention that he had unhinged her life, was enough for her to push the idea of Queen aside-- even if the things that had summoned the thought of him ( money, status, and power ) were still appealing for her daughter if something happened to her. “He might be an over-sized puppy, but you know that he’d love it and our child, and he’s got more money than god which might help her if the worst happened.” 

She moved his hand lower on her swollen belly to help him detect the more violent kicks which led her holding back a wince. “She’s got my right hook, but your stubborn disregard for authority.” She nuzzled into him a bit deeper, setting herself more firmly against him. “We’re in for more trouble than we can handle, I swear.”

“Let me go! Please, let me go!”

Sara couldn’t though. She held on tighter with desperately gripping fingers that were digging into his forearms. Her lips creased into a firm line, and her eyebrows knit together in a deep furrow. “Shut up.” She bit out with no sign of remorse for detaining him. Outwardly she was calm, cool, almost icy, but inside her heart felt like it was being physically wrenched from her chest. “I can’t do that, so just stop it.”

At the proclamation of his love, Sara was once again stunned. He wasn’t the sort of man who said love lightly, and she wasn’t the type that heard it without pause-- even after all their time together. But when she saw his eyes welling over with tears, Sara couldn’t hold back the swell of emotion. “You’re right. I can’t imagine you why you love me at all-- but so long as you do, steal me the hope diamond?” It was easy to tease, though a part of her wanted to see him do it, wanted to see him knock over the hardest and the best and still pull ahead-- he’d been expert without her, but with her she had the feeling they were unstoppable. 

She kissed his chin softly, tracing a line of kisses to his ear. “Sorry-- sad to inform you, but you’re already perfect to me, Len. Just the way you are.” She continued kissing over the smooth perfect line of his throat, adam’s apple, trapezius, everything she could reach despite his shirt. Until his confession-- it brought her to pause, brought her pulling back from her amorous ministrations, brought turquoise eyes clashing against viridian. “... what happened?”
