What if... (Rev1999 x reader)
Repost
Just some random scenarios I came up with. (I was feeling a bit evil this time, so not all of them will be that happy )
Characters: X, Ada Tennant, Vertin(Madam Z mentioned) and Name Day (Vila and Windsong mentioned)
A/n: for X part I've received many requests suggesting different endings so I'm definitely gonna write a part 2 same for Name Day because someone requested more scenarios of him with a pregnant reader and after the baby's birth(I'll let you choose the baby gender)
What if you started ignoring X more often?
X is an attention seeker who constantly wants to be under the spotlight, but what would happen if you suddenly started ignoring him?
He immediately noticed your change of behavior but chose not to question you, thinking it was one of your many little schemes.
Hours turn into days, and days turn into weeks. Now he's worried. Did he do something wrong or offend you somehow?
Whenever he needs someone to test a new machine, his gaze will linger on you for a few instances, waiting to see you volunteer, but no responses.
During breaks, he will stop by and leave a cup of tea brewed just like you love it. He waits for a comment, a spark in your eyes, or praise, anything. Instead, he received nothing but a polite and distant "thank you".
The young inventor is desperate; he tries to at least make you laugh, yet it is so hard.
What did he do wrong?
X can't take it anymore. Heavy steps could be heard in the suitcase hallway headed towards your room.
Once he arrived in front of your dorm, X knocked desperately as if his life depended on that wooden door.
You opened the door, but before your mind could process what was happening, you felt a pair of arms wrapping around your legs.
You looked down, seeing a pair of teary, mismatched eyes looking at you.
"I'm sorry, whatever I did, I didn't mean it. Please forgive me. I'm nothing without you."
The grip around your legs got only tighter. He wasn't planning on letting you escape so easily, not until you reacted in some way.
Now, tears were flooding from his eyes. X tried to say something more, but only sobs left his lips.
I’m ready to stay like this for as long as possible, and I couldn’t care less if someone passes by. Let them see. It only matters that you’re the one I want by my side. Your care is all I need.

What if you saw right through her act?
"Welcome to my jewellery, milady, how may I help you?" You were greeted by a tall, handsome woman when you stepped inside the new jewellery store, which has been the talk of all the parties you recently attended.
Apparently, the owner was a fine gentleman named Tennant who sold high quality diamond crafts.
"I heard a lot about this store, so today I came here to see with my own eyes if I could find something unique that would suit me," you answered, already captivated by the models showcased.
"I'm glad to hear that words of my humble work have reached the ears of such a beautiful young lady." She said, closing the distance between you two, delicately trailing her finger along your collarbone.
The sudden close proximity and the feeling of her slender finger on you made you tremble a bit, yet you found yourself taking a step forward completaly captivated by the lady’s beautiful ruby eyes.
"A necklace would look stunning on you, milady. I've got a lot of precious gems you can choose from. Let me guide you."
She gently grabbed your arm, escorting you to the main showcase area full of lavish jewelry so exquisite you almost believed you were inside a royal boutique or a dream.
"You can choose anything here that pleases your tastes, milady. I have anything a fine young lady such as you could desire from shiny gemstones like amethyst and topaz, to equally beautiful but less eye catching like turquoise, jade, and pearls."
You had to admit that all of them were breathtaking. If you could, you'd buy the whole collection, but the reason you came here was to see the famous diamonds.
"They're incredible. Such refined, attentive craft is rare, but I'm looking for your famous diamond creations."
"Oh my, what kind of gentleman am I? Anyone could tell from the first glance that diamonds are the perfect match for you, milady."
"Excuse me... gentleman?!?" You were taken aback. All this time, you thought he was a woman; this was embarrassing and improper for a young lady to act this casually with a man.
"Something is wrong, milady?" She paused, looking at you, a bit concerned.
"I must apologize, Mr. Tennant. All this time, I mistook you for a handsome woman. I'm sorry," you confessed, lowering your face to hide your embarrassment.
A few seconds passed in silence until a soft laugh escaped Tennat's lips
"Ah... this is surprising," she laughed.
"You indeed have a good eye, milady. You're the first noble lady to see past my act."
"What do you mean?"
"Let's say you were right. I'm indeed a woman, but I use my looks to gain more customers. Some people just buy my treasures to spend time with a handsome young "man", and I just play along because I’m a humble seller trying to earn to eat." She then knelt in front of you and offered you her hand.
"It makes me happy because today there was actually no need to play pretend."
Hearing those words made you feel better.
"Please lift your chin. There's no reason to be shy, milady. I don't bite, " she said, gently caressing your cheek.
"I think I might have the right thing for your cute face."
"Here is a little gift for my newfound, honourable client." You didn't know when she picked it up, but now there was in her free hand a flower made of pure diamond.
"For me? Thanks, Mrs Tennant."
"The name is Ada milady."
"(name)"
"(name)... I see a lovely name, indeed. In the future, I might say it a lot often."

What if you were reversed by the storm?
Vertin woke up once again in the familiar medical yard room. Another mission successfully completed, well, that's what the report says.
She stood up, looking outside. The weather was nice, nothing compared to the nasty storm that stole another cherished companion, I meant dear friend from the Timekeeper.
Her eyes were dull, filled with emptiness. Her hair was messy, and her entire body was covered in bandages, not enough of which could patch the new, freshly open scar in her heart.
It hurts.
It hurts a lot.
The pain was almost unbearable for Vertin.
How could she keep her usually composed look after witnessing your body turning into dust, your last smile, and your last words?
"We'll see each other in the future. I'll wait for you, Timekeeper."
Why did you have to say those words? Why did you stop when the suitcase was so close? Why did the storm have to begin a few minutes earlier this time?
She failed as a timekeeper.
Many questions and regrets flooded the poor girl's mind, but nobody could give her the answers she was searching for.
She stood there watching the clouds, a lone tear sliding down her face.
How pitiful indeed. She couldn't do anything for you, yet you gave everything to her and the mission.
No amount of titles, medals, and articles will ever bring you back now.
Madam Z walked into the room to check on Vertin, but she left immediately, seeing her current state.
She knew what had happened, an accident similar to the first one at the orphanage and the second with half blood arcanist Schneider.
She understood the girl's pain and wished for her to be reunited with all her lost friends in the future they once belonged to.

What if he were about to be a father?
Someone actually asked for some headcanons for Name Day as a father a while ago, but I forgot about it (I'm sorry, take this as an apology)
"Leonid, I've got a little something for you," you announce, appearing behind him.
"You seem happier than any other day. What's the occasion, my snowflake?" He asked, placing a soft kiss on your forehead.
"Take a look." You handed him a small game console.
"Where did you find this? It's adorable, I'm going to place it among my game collection," he said, grabbing the item from your hands and observing it.
"Not so fast, that was meant for your dust catching shelves." He stopped, looking at you with a confused expression.
"It's for our new gaming little buddy," you said, placing one hand on your belly.
"Wait... do you mean what I'm actually thinking? " He asked in disbelief, almost making the small console slip from his hand.
You knew he was a very observant person, so understanding what you meant wasn't hard for him. In fact, hiding the pregnancy without making him suspicious would’ve been impossible without Vila and Windsong’s help.
A wide smile formed on your face, clearing any possible doubt.
"Leonid, I'm pregnant, and we're going to be parents soon," You finally said it.
The young man could not believe his ears. Him? As a father? One of his biggest dreams was about to turn into reality.
Well, it was already reality since inside our belly there was a mini version of him and you.
"I think this is the best thing I'll ever hear in my life." He placed the console on the nearest surface and hugged you tightly, making sure not to put too much pressure on your belly.
Tears of joy ran down his face; he was so happy to the point he could not think of words to describe how he felt.
Weeks passed, and everyone at Laplace and Rayashki could see how joyful their investigator looked.
He spent every night talking to your tummy, telling the baby stories about his hometown and family, his missions, and discoveries.
Something, whenparticularly tired, he would sing songs in Russian until both of you fell asleep.
As for the nursery, you insisted on helping, but he forced you to sit back comfortably and watch him do all the work.
He painted an amazing starry sky on the ceiling and carved the crib and all the toys by himself. Name Day was really working himself to the bone, but he was proud of how the room looked once done.
There was still quite a lot of time before he could hold the baby between his arms, but just the thoughts were enough to warm up his heart.
