junko enoshima has more baggage than anyone knows what to do with. her closets a walk - in with an army of skeletons inside, giving way to years and dust and he's pretty sure he hasn't actually heard everything from her. he's pretty damn sure she's forgotten a lot of shit, in fact - 'cause of uppers or downers or straight up memory blockage. junko used to snap and snarl and claw like a caged animal.

he always thought that if he ever fell in love it'd be with a cute pop star like maizono, but he quickly found out he needed someone just as intense.

they must have broken up at least eight times, and their friends alike found them entirely too intense together. too hot, too cold, vacillating between the two at a moment's notice.

they started reaching equilibrium after leon's first album. there was a b - side on it that was just him talking over feedback and chatter. it was dedicated to her, but no one besides the two of them knew it.

she gave him hell for it later but kissed his neck and jaw while she did so.

he asked her to marry him on a whim.

"you think junko kuwata sounds ok?"

"i'm keeping my name, but the ring better be nice."

she didn't miss a beat.
