I was really surprised to see that Sapphire only had one eye but now that I think about it makes sense. Garnet has three eyes compared to most other fusion gems that have four, such as Malachite/Rainbow Quartz whose fusion gems consist of gems that have two eyes whilst Ruby has her two eyes while Sapphire has one, making three-eyed Garnet.
