i finished a picture of @nonbinarynep and my kids Leo and Tanya
Context:
Tanya is from a rich family but she is the black sheep of the family and literally moved herself down to the basement because she doesn’t like interacting with others. Her parents are never present so she is pretty much raised by her cousin Brian who is only like 8 years older than her. She is on the autism spectrum and isn’t good at social interaction and avoids it at all costs. She also doesn’t talk much and doesn’t really respond when spoken to and she kind of stares distantly without saying anything a lot and chews on her hair so she is labeled the weirdo at her school.
Leo is from a poor family that owns a bakery and gets bullied by his brother a lot. He is really good at baking and is honestly just an angel but lowkey insecure. He’s really sweet and gentle and hates violence, like absolutely loathes it and avoids it as much as Tanya avoids interactions of any kind. He is a good boy who is never mean and always tries to be positive and help his friends.
The two first met at an elementary school dance put on by the PTA, Tanya’s parents forced her to go to interact with others and make friends, and Leo’s family catered the event. Tanya doesn’t like the noise and how many people there are and the chaos and unpredictability so she hides under a table behind the table cloth and quietly hums while cradling her knees and rocking back and forth and chewing on her hair. Leo notices her go under a table and he sneaks away from his parents and steals some pastries to join Tanya. He tries to get her to engage but can’t, so instead he just sits with her, not touching her but saying he won’t go until she asks him too because she shouldn’t be alone. Tanya never says to leave so Leo stays and the two eat pastries together while Leo talks and Tanya silently listens and secretly loves the company
