Febroary day 9 - Pantanal cat (Leopardus braccatus) I probably mixed my reference with one of the subspecies, so sorry if thats the case! These wild cats sure are rare! Hope you like my illustration and don't forget to leave a like! Much appreciated!

I will *try* to do it daily this year and the topic will be cat species.

Starting with the obscure Pantanal cat (Leopardus braccatus) from Brasil. I love their striped legs and serious faces! They mean business.

Pixel taxonomy - ocelot lineage part 1 - the colocola complex

There is some debate whether these 5 are subspecies of Leopardus colocola or separate species.
