Province of Lepersarium

Restricted to just the one island, Lepersarium is home to aberrant dragonmark users, shifters, and the diseased. Shifters were driven there by the Silver Flame, after the feverous organization attempted to purge all lycanthropes and decided to exile the shifters instead of killing them due their sentience. The diseased, mostly lepers, underwent much the same treatment. Decades later, Dragonmark users sought haven in Lepersarium as they were being killed and imprisoned across the continent. Current day Lepersarium is ruled by a council and has a very large population. Inhabitants are generally more openminded than those on the mainland, but are still very slow to trust outsiders. The population is immune or resistant to most diseases due to constant exposure. Their primary export is black powder and firearms, the production of which are both a closely guarded and regulated secret. They mainly trade with Greybank, the city-states of Balic, and Darguun. They eagerly supply Darguun with weapons during any conflict Darguun has with the Silver flame. Lepersarium mints its own coin, a custom dating back to its founding when it was believed that the inhabitants tainted the coins they touched. Primary gods worshipped are Skeles, Annaliesse, and Arrathes, coinciding with their beliefs of vengeance against the silver flame and other mainland nations, and their pride in their independence and inventions.
