@lepiilunamoth AHHH I'M SO SORRY THIS IS LATE! D: Also this may be slightly out of character :/ Penny doesn't have a lot of screen time in the English dub of the series yet (which is where I get my info on Pokemon) so I had to do some extensive research. I hope this is alright! Happy New Year!

Penny sat at her desk, typing away at the computer before sitting back and watching the code run while she took a swig from a nearby energy drink. Umbreon pricked his ears, his body only illuminated by the moonlight shining through the bedroom’s one window and dimly lighting the bedsheets. He yawned, trotting over to brush against his trainer, who in turn bent down to pet him before yawning herself.
“Hi, Umbreon… I’m almost finished with this project, don’t worry.” She cupped the dark-type’s head, stifling a giggle as he licked her nose.
A sudden stop in the command feedback caught Penny’s attention, and she groaned as she scrolled through the text.
“Guess it’s another all-nighter, then…” She mumbled, sipping the last of the energy drink from its can and tossing it in the recycling bin. Grabbing another one from the nearby mini fridge, Penny got back to typing.
What she didn't catch was Umbreon silently darting out of the room.
For a long while, the only sounds in the room were the whirring of the computer, fingers typing away on the keyboard, and the occasional sip from an energy drink. Then, a creak of the door caught the girl's attention and she swiveled around in her chair to find Sylveon, closely followed by Umbreon, coming through the entrance. The fairy-type walked right up to her trainer and butted her head against the chair. Penny only smiled, petting Sylveon’s head, but then almost immediately turned back to her work.
“I have to finish this. Sorry, Sylveon…” Her voice trailed a bit as she refocused on coding.
Well, that wouldn't do.
Sylveon hopped up onto Penny's lap, obscuring her view of the monitor and startling the trainer.
“Sylveon- Hey, I need to work! What's gotten into you?”
The fairy-type only let out a questioning sound, wrapping a few of her feelers around Penny's arm as a means to try and understand what her trainer was feeling.
Irritation. Okay, that was a given.
Desperateness. How long did she have for this project?
Nervousness- Wait, what?
Sylveon looked up at her trainer, taking in what looked like a strained expression. Her mouth twitched, her arm was stiff, and it looked like she was holding back some sort of noise-
Oh.
Sylveon let go, and watched as Penny noticeably relaxed.
The fairy-type hopped off her trainer's lap, looked at Umbreon, and motioned towards the door. Penny watched as the two of them left, a bewildered expression on her face.
Okay, back to programming.
Penny wasn't sure when the pair came back in with Flareon in tow. What she did know is the moment the fire-type came into contact with her, she immediately felt like something was up. Sure, she appreciated his warmth and presence, but something felt off with the way Umbreon and Sylveon were staring at her.
When she heard the sound of Sylveon trying to grab her attention again, she turned around in her chair and groaned.
“Okay, what are you two up to?”
In unison, the dark and fairy-types cocked their heads towards the bed. Penny sighed.
“I know I should go to bed, but I have to finish this- whOA!”
In an instant the programmer was jumped on by the two remaining Eeveelutions, and the chair spun around before depositing the four of them onto the floor, with Penny still lightly pinned in place by her Flareon that seemed content to continue laying atop his trainer. Penny, however, was not having it.
“If this is to try and get me to go to bed, it's not workING- Sylveon, plehease!”
The fairy-type in question only smiled as she flicked one of her feelers along Penny’s arm. If just asking wasn’t going to get their trainer to take care of herself, then Sylveon, Umbreon, and Flareon would have to make that happen themselves.
And so they got to work. Flareon’s throat rumbled with what resembled a purr as he got up and started making biscuits on Penny’s stomach. The trainer burst into quiet giggles, careful not to make too much noise and wake other students in the dorms. She resorted to pushing Flareon’s offending paws away with her own hands, but ultimately froze as Umbreon’s tail wormed its way beneath her chin and she bit back a squeal.
“Plehease, you thrEE- Gahahaha!” She twisted, pulling her arms in as Sylveon’s feelers came back to attack once more. Whatever had encouraged the group to use tickling as a ploy to get her to sleep was beyond her. But she had to admit, she was getting rather tired.
Penny’s laughter bounced around the room, and the three Eeveelutions attacking her relished in the sound. It wasn’t often that their trainer laughed, so they were sure Sylveon’s discovery was going to be used more than just sometimes.
“Okahahahay! Ihi’ll go toho behehed, plehehehEASE!”
As soon as the trio heard the genuine plea, they stopped. Flareon got off her chest, and Umbreon and Sylveon retreated a few steps.
Penny sat up, tucking in her legs and taking in large breaths as the tingling sensations faded and the previous sleepless nights caught up to her.
“I guess… I should probably go to bed. Just after one more trial-”
As soon as the trio heard that they immediately butted their heads against their trainer in the direction of the bed in protest. Penny let out one more quiet giggle at their antics.
“Okay, okahay. I’ll go to sleep. Promise.”
The programmer clambered under the bedsheets, yawning, before turning over and smiling at the fairy-type that stared back at her with a similar expression.
