CNN is enabling Trump today, and tomorrow they’ll pretend they were always fighting against him.

If selling out America to a rapist traitor who sold secrets to Russia makes them richer, CNN does not give a single fuck.

Les Moonves and Paramount to Pay $9.75 Million in State Case Tied to Sexual Misconduct

The New York attorney general’s office found that CBS, whose parent company is now Paramount, concealed allegations about its former chief executive from investors.

Paramount, the parent company of CBS, and the network’s former chief executive Leslie Moonves agreed to pay $9.75 million after a state investigation found that the network and its senior leadership had concealed accusations of sexual misconduct against Mr. Moonves and, in the case of one executive, engaged in insider trading related to the allegations.

The New York attorney general’s office said in a news release that its investigation had found that the company’s leadership knew about the allegations against Mr. Moonves and concealed them for months before they became public.

“As a publicly traded company, CBS failed its most basic duty to be honest and transparent with the public and investors,” Attorney General Letitia James said in a statement.

The attorney general’s investigation found that a captain in the Los Angeles Police Department informed a CBS employee in November 2017 that the department had received a sexual assault complaint against Mr. Moonves. The captain worked with CBS for months as the company tried to keep the complaint from being reported by the news media, the New York attorney general’s office said.

In one text message included in the attorney general’s report, the unidentified police captain told a CBS employee and Mr. Moonves’s personal lawyer that they would be the “first and only point of contact” regarding the investigation. The message also said an investigating officer would “admonish” an accuser not to speak with reporters.

In June 2018, CBS authorized Gil Schwartz, then CBS’s chief communications officer, to sell millions of dollars’ worth of the company’s stock, according to the attorney general’s investigation. Ms. James said the action constituted insider trading because Mr. Schwartz had known about the accusations against Mr. Moonves, which could potentially sink the company’s stock price.

Criminal Minds started its big slide in quality in S10 when they brought in Jennifer Love Hewitt. The only reason she was cast was to work out her contract with CBS after ‘The Ghost Whisperer’ was cancelled.

She can’t act. Period

And the series never recovered.

Admittedly like all series created during the reign of the misogynist, sexist, predator Les Moonves, CM has always had its issues. Under Moonves, Reid was not allowed to be bisexual (as originally intended) and CBS police procedurals were (despite token casting of POC actors) racist in how they portrayed criminals and never acknowledge police brutality

Watching the first ever episode of “Murder, she wrote”. The pervy old guy who walks around groping women looks suspiciously like Les Moonves. Witch is funny but also sad, because it’s foreshadowing what he is. And he treated Angela Lansbury like shit.

Janet Jackson Is Back! “Metamorphosis” In Vegas

Janet Jackson showed some boob in a Super Bowl once and was subsequently  brow-beaten into oblivion.  If a pop star were to have a similar wardrobe malfunction today it might turn into a movement, but certainly not a career grenade.  I guess “That’s The Way Love Goes”.  

Last night I popped into the MGM Park Theater on the strip in Las Vegas to catch Janet’s residency show and I was not disappointed.  Let’s just start with the venue since it was a large part of the experience.  The theater has less than six thousand seats and the farthest seat from the stage is only 145 feet away.  It was built for this type of show.  My seats were in the second to last row dead center and I felt like I was right there. If you get a chance to see a show here, do it.  And if you are going to see a show there, make it “Metamorphosis”. 

Miss Jackson, (f you’re at all inclined to be nasty) waxed nostalgic last night when she let the audience in on a little bit of trivia.  She said when she was seven years old she made her stage debut with her brothers right here in Las Vegas, 47 years ago. Now she is back and maybe this time she can stay.  Jackson played all of the hits and also dug into deep tracks with “Moist” and “China Love”, both of which had never before been played live. 

I would like to have a look at Janet Jackson’s fitbit because the woman must have broken it by now.  She is in incredible shape and is still one of the smoothest dance performers I’ve seen.  The dance crew gave a razor sharp high energy performance that made me forget this was a Tuesday night show. The air in the theatre was filled with excitement.  You could tell people were DYING to see this show.  Even the rich folks in the fronty front got up off their asses and off their phones to join the “Rhythm Nation”.  

It’s not fair that Janet Jackson has had to wait this long for her chance to shine again.  There were people in the music and television business who reportedly made earnest efforts to destroy her after the Superbowl performance.  Think about all of the music and dance we have missed out on from one of the most influential women in music. I could have much more easily missed out on Justin Timberlake’s “art” in the last 15 years.
