Sera's stuff about wardens taking whatever they wanted in Denerim was honestly what gave me the impression they could take shit. IE not really "conscripting" the crates (tho that was the joke) but claiming them for warden purposes which like...might be a thing? Bc DA is unclear?

honestly i assume its something they can do if only bc its something militaries have kind of always been able to do, just walk in & go ‘im requisitioning this’ or ‘we need these supplies u have to give them to us’. so again i doubt that they use this ability very often just bc it’d piss people off but im sure it’s something they can technically do & make use of when they need to

The Hanged Man in Reverse: When has your character tried to avoid making a major decision?

so kit became p much the head of the family after malcolm’s death, if only bc everyone else was super out of it (esp leandra) & he felt it was his responsibility to step up. he isn’t particularly decisive, though, & while he tried his best he found it really really tough. just after they moved to lothering carver went missing for nearly two days; for the whole first day neither bethany nor leandra noticed & kit nearly went mad with worry & indecision & not knowing how to deal with the situation. he finally went to leandra for help & she pulled herself together enough to take charge & eventually they found carver & everything was alright. that one day where kit was in charge but had no idea what to do was scary, though.

the hermit: write about a time your character did some soul searching. What did they find?

ohhhhh okay. so kit’s actually andrastrian, even now. leandra always took him to the chantry & it was kind of something he associated with her. after he came out as trans leandra was kind of. shitty about it. finally it all got a bit much & he ended up running out to the barn to hide. he spent a lot of time thinking about himself, his place in his family, & his place in the world, including what andraste & the maker would think of him. eventually malcolm found him & they had a long discussion about life & religion & everything, tbh. malcolm also believed in the maker but not really in the chant or chantry teachings, & he reassured kit that he was okay and valid and the maker didn’t hate him. it was like. a really important moment in kit’s life & he still remembers it & still considers himself to be religious.

(also not to make u sadder but like. its part of why he was so upset over gilbert. bc gilbert was still alive & in caspian’s mind gilbert was waiting for someone to come get him & to save him & make it all okay & no one came so in the end he cracked & ended up dying & that was so nearly cas & oh god he just feels awful about it)
