On the topic of Inquisitor prosthetic or choosing not to have one. Would you be willing to share some headcanons about how your magic using Inquisitor deals with that loss? I imagine it’s different for Lavellans but for example a circle mage inquisitor would’ve grown up being discouraged from practical uses of magic by the chantry, and I think it’s an interesting opportunity for them to start to learn more now that they’re not bound to those rules.
I think levitation would be the biggest thing. It’s something magic is canonically capable of, but probably takes a lot of practice to be precise with? So imagine an Inquisitor starting out with things like lifting rocks, books, etc. then onto actually manipulating said objects; turning a book page, throwing a rock.
Another thing I thought of as a possibility, (though not something Amaris would be interested in, because as I said before I think she would personally find a prosthetic to be irritating/in the way,) is what if an arm was crafted the same way a staff is? So like, instead of carrying a staff, a mage could channel their magic through their prosthetic arm. Some magic iron man shit.
