Special thanks to @lesbiancackletta for providing the scans of Mario & Luigi RPG 4koma Gag Battle (マリオ&ルイージRPG ４コマギャグバトル). Here’s the translation (translation notes are under the cut!):

Title:  Hammer Head

Panel 1:  “You received hammers!”

Panel 2: [Sledge]:  “Strike various things with your hammers!” [Mallet]:  “A solid rock will break with a single hit.”

Panel 3:  “OKIE DOKIE!”

Panel 4: [Mario]:  “It hurts, doesn’t it?” [Luigi]:  “It didn’t break though, did it?” [Sledge]:  (”A tough head!?) “A hammer head!?” [Mallet]:  “We’re hammer heads too, big bro.”

Luigi literally shouts “Yo-shi” (aka “YOSH!!!).  I debated whether to write the translation as “YOSH”, “OKAY”, “ALRIGHT” or “OKIE DOKIE” and ultimately wanted to reference Luigi’s battle-starting cry.

The last panel makes it clear which one’s Sledge and Mallet since Sledge is the older brother but in the case of panel 2 I just guessed with which one is which.
