dear high school me,

i remember sitting on my bed in high school, sobbing because everything was becoming too much. i was stuck chasing a love from someone who wasn’t ready for me yet, my grades were in the trash, my relationship with my mother was horrible (side note: it was me being a little shit and my mom just trying to make me the best version of myself) and i felt so alone.

years later, here i am in that same room, in love with that boy who’s ready for me now, in complete awe of my mother- she is my rock and my hero and everything i want to become- and holding my newborn son, who is fast asleep in my arms.

i look at his beautiful little face and i find what i was looking for all those years ago- i find peace and joy and acceptance and unconditional love.

so, high school me, you’re gonna be okay. you’re going to be in love with life again. enjoy it.

everyone talks shit about American tv and how shitty and stupid it is but let me tell you when I was in England we were flipping through the channels and there was a show called "50 shades of granny" and the first thing we hear is "I've been involved in 15 gangbangs" and this 80 year old woman pulls out her tit and "gangbang queen" is tattooed on it so don't ever act like the brits have superior television they are just as trashy as we are
