FMLS90 April Healthy Habit Update
My healthy habit for April was to drink more water, goal of 120 oz a day, and less diet soda. I've been doing pretty well with the water the last 10 days, usually hitting that goal, but had not been able to reduce the diet soda below 2 a day ... until this week!
This week I dropped to one a day, and yesterday I only had HALF a soda! I didn't even finish it!
My cravings for them have diminished GREATLY, and I attribute this to two things:
Drinking more water. I think I might've been a bit dehydrated before and I was actually drinking the diet soda to relieve that.
Changing from processed salad dressing to home-made with MUCH LESS SODIUM. My cravings were the worst for the soda when I ate my salad, and that's when I drank my two cans each day. It was that sweet I craved to go with the salty salad dressing, I think. Now that I'm making my own, more natural, Ranch dressing without all that added salt, the cravings are really gone. Now it's just a matter of breaking the habit of having the soda with my salad, which, without the craving to drive it, should be a cinch!
Success! Yay!
