So who was Thrawn lying to, Nightswan or Eli? He told Nightswan that he wasn’t actually exiled and that he originally kept Eli around to see if he was working with the Neimodians who tried to get Thrawn to help overthrow Palpatine. He told Eli (in person and in his journal) that he was exiled for launching a preemptive strike and that he originally kept Eli around to learn more about what he knew about the Chiss. It’s possible that what happened was a mix of both, but why would he tell them almost completely different things??

If we’re assuming that the plot of Outbound Flight is what happened with Thrass’s disappearance in the Ascendancy books, which Aristocra was there?? Formbi (or Aformbi with how the Chaf are named now)?? Thurfian?? Someone else??
