This is a screenshot of Anne Rice's wish to fandom.

Its great that outside the states, there is no sub culture of fan fiction writing. Fans of any entertainment in our country will watch or read something. They may watch or read on repeat if its a favourite. Slight discussions will happen but then be forgotten about, because here, entertainment is not taken as seriously. No fandoms exist like subreddits or tumblr. Yes of course, when there is offensive stuff, then people will complain and the piece of entertainment might be taken down legally. If the entertainment wins hearts of people's sentiments and values, it will be applauded for lifetime. But no fanfiction writing among teens here. No headcanons. No gay shipping. Writers,in particular, of our country and plenty others do not need to worry about fanfic or ships. Copyrights etc.

In a way, we kinda agree with what Annie Rice said ( R.I.P). Fanfiction does offend some authors and we think fans should respect it if particular authors wish jokes of their work not floating around. So do headcanons and bullshittery of shipping. We agree with Rice that you should write your original characters and original stories instead of taking from other's creation. It takes painfully hard work for an author to publish and shine on his/her creation. Naturally, when fans do shit, the authors may get offended.

Make your own content so you can be proud of your own creation, possibly even make money without fear of copyright or disrespect. This way, you win. 👏

Anne Rice est décédée ce samedi à l’âge de 80 ans. Sa mort ne me laisse pas indifférent car je lui dois des heures de lecture passionnante.
