"Popular kids are so aggravating."
With arms crossed and back quills against the lockers, Shadow glared toward the crowd surrounding the azure hedgehog, who seemed to be reveling in all the attention.
Rouge smirked at her fellow high schooler as she turned the dial on a combination lock. "You sure you're not just jealous?"
Shadow scoffed. "Of what, taking up every inch of this goddamn hallway?" He raised his voice for that last bit not-so-subtly, which made students in his personal bubble scatter out of fear.

Sokka was replaying the conversation in his mind; How he’d joked with the whole ‘it’s not you, it’s me’ kind of argument, but adding ‘except it really IS me’. It all seemed way more dramatic, looking back on it now, when in reality all that had occurred was Suki going on another mission with the Kyoshi Warriors — a team that didn’t include Sokka. Truly, he understood the whole thing, and getting a tad whiny wasn’t so much about being left out as it was about having to temporarily part ways with his girlfriend. He had just grown so ridiculously attached to her, and he knew the dangers that came with their life choices, which is why he always, ALWAYS had a hard time being without her.
Thus, moping for a bit until he’d figure out a new plan, some interesting way to spend his day, he sat outside, boomerang in hand. The weapon provided a sense of COMFORT. It made him feel strong and safe and useful. Besides, weapon or not, it was plain entertaining to throw the thing around. And so he did. He watched as the silver-coloured item spun in mid-air.
— His trusty boomerang, it always came back… except this time, it didn’t.
We will be playing Wolves in the quarter-finals!!!
